Hey everyone.

I recently moved from a DSL connection out into a No-Zone for comcast and verizon. I dont have access to broadband internet connections anymore, and Direcway (the only alternative that I know) does not work with my dad's work network. So we are settling for ISDN for right now (127k-ish). Currently, we have dial up (I get about 28.8k on my computer), and we have ISDN ordered. So, my question. Is it worth coming back with a 127k connection? How playable will the game be?

Thanks guys.

I never tried ISDN, but I do know the game isnt worth playing on a normal phone modem.

I agree totally. Just played for about 3 hours, getting "you have left the world" Every half an hour or less, and killing one guy, running around completely invisible to everyone else, and then just dying 5 minutes later halfway across the continent. I guess its time to cert mosquito and go look for stragglers :/

I play on ISDN (128k) and while it's acceptable for most situations, during large battles I just don't have the bandwidth to keep up. It's not terrible, but I'd say it's borderline. In big fights I see lots of other players "warping" around, and I frequently get shot by people who, on my screen at least, aren't even in the same room as me. That said, ISDN is very stable. I never get disconnects or anything like that.

I dont think dial-up is that much of a problem. I got to CR5 on 56k just fine. It's just a b*itch trying to fight in large battles :)

satelite doesn't allow upload as far as I know. At any rate, I belive that you ISDN should be fine. Try one of those trial keys that the europe company is giving away like free candy to test the playablity.
