she didn't punch the teacher in the face. She hit her on the hand and besides the entire time the girl was upset the teachers were sticking thier noses infront of the childs face.
Do you think a 4 foot child likes having people 5feet6 bending over and shoving thier faces in thier noses?
They should of called the mother and asked her to come to the school and take the girl home.

Well then what can you do? You cant hit em, thats abuse. Back in the day when the baby boomers went wild all ya had to do was pull out the belt, act lika cowboy, and lasso an ass. That made kids behave and it wasnt illegal.
They respected adults more back then, today they are all rebels. No paddle here. So what can you do?

Hire a teacher that knows how to do there fucking job, and pay teachers well enough so someone other then a control freak wants to become a teacher in the first place.

From what i heard yeah ok i dont like noses in front of my eye either. If i was a young little darling i wouldn't go hulk on everyone. Parents man. If she was a gangster maybe i'd let her go on that and then they can arrest her for charges of pulling a dodgeball on a kid to get his lunchable candy.
Parents could have came and picked her up though. If they never came or the school never called then lets see it from there.

The kid is 5, the parents might or might not be retards, you have nowhere near enough information to decide that, the police never should have been there in the first place. The only certainty here is that the teacher should be able to calm down a five year old, if they can't, they shouldn't be teaching kindergardeners.

Yeah, this may be a shocking revelation to you, but little kids throw fits no matter how good there parents are. It's pretty damn near hardcoded into humanity, the only effective way for someone to get over it is to get older.

*Gasp* You mean they don't sit at home all day waiting by the phone? That could mean the mom was such an incredibly bad parent that she had to do something as insidious as go to the dentist. (assuming the father is the one employed, obviosly)

Home phone, cell phone, work phone (assuming father is employed), and for the record one or two gaurdian (sp?) phone (grandparents, close friend, etc). Unless they all left the house, which would be pretty ironic. The kid could have been picked up or brought somewhere i dont know where.
Now you say get a a teacher that knows how to fucking teach. Maybe she stuck her nose when the kid would not stop. As far as you said kids have tantrumes for no reason at all, and most teachers at told to just put them in a corner. Maybe she stuck her nose in to scare the kid since it would be the only way to shut the damn girl up. Maybe not the best thing to do, but the kid would shut up for the day so problem solved. All a teacher can do is talk verbally and for all the kid cares its just "you are blah blah bleh."
Going back to my first post, there is no paddle, there is no belt, you cant scare the kid now with those tools. The nose is pushing the limit to abuse as a teacher, but as far as i know noses aint hurting the kid.
You have any ideas for what the teacher should have done? As for the school theres only two possiblities. First the school should know about the teachers habbits and wouldve done something already. And if they knew and did nothing, well they probly should be a school anyways.

Possibly the fathers boss is an asshole who won't let him off, there relatives all live in another state and there friends are also not tethered to a phone and are off doing something that rates as important to them. This kind of falls under the rule of "when you need it, it will be somewhere else." Just because somethings ussually there doesn't mean it always is.

I didn't say they throw fits for no reason, I said throwing fits is one of there default responses in many situation.

It's not "abuse" its just a stupid way to handle the situation, like I said, don't hire a control freak who just wants to impose her will on someone else, hire someone who understands children. The funny thing about threats like the belt or the paddle, is if you find yourself habitually in need of them, you probably shouldn't have the authority to use them.
Do you know what started the fit? I don't, so it's impossible for me to say what she should have done, except that obviously she fucked it up. And I would remind you that just because someone can't do something well, doesn't mean they can't recognize when other people suck too.
As for the school theres only two possiblities. First the school should know about the teachers habbits and wouldve done something already. And if they knew and did nothing, well they probly should be a school anyways.
Not neccessarily, the school system is pretty fucked up alot of places at this point, they don't have enough cash, they don't have enough teachers, there facilities are aging and there administrators are incompetent paper pushers that got the job due to affirmitive action or the like. Also, for the record, I went to private school for a little over a year and a half (six and most of seventh), and that was probably the worst school I've been to teacher wise (I still carry a burning hatred for several of those teachers and the only thing I can remember about there classes is how much I hate those people.) Granted I went to school in North Carolina, Louisiana and California, which iirc are some of the worst states, school-wise, so I'm pretty willing to see schools/teachers in the worst light possible.

yeah ok i dont know too, i'm just stating the possebillities.
The belt thing i meant that kids had much more respect for older people back when belts and paddle were used. But eh i give up.
That school should move to california cause Arnold is on a roll.
