Theres no fucking way that not ONE of the PSU community people got in the beta...

Im getting suspicious of this "50 people" crap. First off, to the SUPPOSED people that "got in", the NDA does NOT say that you can't tell anyone you're beta testing. So please, if ANYONE has got into the beta... say so.

The PSU staff did NOT get into beta this round. Check this thread (http://www.planetside-universe.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2869) for proof.

50 people out of 13,000 is a very small percentage (0.4%), and does not necessarily mean someone in the PSU community actually got in. Even if we said 1,000 people were in the PSU community, that still leaves 12,000 people who could have gotten emails instead of the 1,000 ;)

this "50 players (all gamers)" is bs... imo

I think they are serious when they say "they are gamers"(the ppl who got in), but probably buddies.

I can't really blame it on them though, I guess beta testing is beta testing. And if I was a game dev and my best friend wanted in the beta process, I'd let him in;p

Smokejumper told us in IRC that he didn't care if we said we were in beta or not. I don't quite understand why the others have been so quiet but I've made it public knowledge that I was one of the 50 selected.

I will respect the others and not name names.. but I can assure you that a signifigant number of the 50 were names you would recognise from the PlanetSide community.

With only 50 people getting in, I wouldn't be surprised if only 15 or so of those are actually playing. For example, in one beta MMORPG I'm in or was in, they added approximately 8000 people in a week, on top of a population that was already at least 1000 strong. Yet they only hovered around 800 people online at any one time.

This is a controlled beta stage. They are given specific log in times. I would imagine it would be more like 40 or so playing instead of 50.
