Alright, it's time I say a few words about the new gun.

First off, I haven't used it in combat yet... but I try to talk to everyone using it.

I know a lot of people complain about it, how it doesn't beat BD at any range, how ESMA beats it. The gun is actually quite practicle when used right.

The gun is NOT designed to beat the BD for sniping. It was intended as a medium range weapon that could be used to pull off a few quick shots before you get close enough to engage the enemy. It is also useful in groups at close range. If you get a few people blocking a hall with them, you can easily hold back a good number of troops.

Since it can fire 2 shots before COF bloom, you can hit the enemy twice, then quickly switch to a BD to finish them off. The TTK is actually quicker than pulling off 2 shots with the BD.

It is unfortunate that many players blow this gun off before giving it a chance, I think it is a very balanced weapon, GJ devs.

Also, remember that it is currently FREE for 2 year vets, which does give it a reason to lose against a 3 cert point Sniper Rifle at long ranges.

5* cert point sniper rifle

The HSR is a good gun and I can see why it would be handy in certain situations. However, in my use of it, it has not performed better in the situations I typically fight in. I prefer my Guass.

yeah, but hes only counting the sniper cert because if you dont have Medium Assault, then you are really specialized somewhere else... especially if you are a 2 year vet (they are almost definitely br23)

For sniping I'd rather have a bolt driver, for outdoor fights I'd rather have MA as it definitely out performs the HSR. The HSR may have its uses but it's not enough to justify taking it over any of the above weapons or above a secondary weapon like a striker or decimator.

It's CoF is silly, instead of being a Garand, its a PSG-1.
