Can engineers throw mines up in the air? Cause if they could, you could have skeet shooting contests. That would look cool. Then your outfit could play a big game of Hide 'n seek. Or hot potato, only with a frag grenade. Imagine that.

At LANs, ive had counter-strike contests on who can come closer to hitting a spray on the ground. (this from the tower in helms_deep map). So we could do galaxy jumps, skeet shooting, i could see buggy and atv races. Who knows, maybe we could get a destruction derby going. I use to do that with Halo. Ram two warthogs together until one flips, then try to hit the driver before he gets back in. Seriously, that was like 5 hrs of fun right there....

If they include mini-games, I'd like to play pong and pacman.

/me looks for sarcasism
Was that a joke or not? Well if not we are talking about games you can play as a soldier. Such as races, jumping out of planes and trying to land on enemy personel (Come on u know that would be fun), and i hope for destruction derby.
There was a thread made about this alrdy, it was deleted tho so how bout deleting this one too?

if u play these games, u better watch out from the grief system. I guess u'll need to join in squads to play these games.

i would think some people if they are bored and just want to fool around would have a race for those atv like things or something it was always fun to get in ghosts (whatever they are called) in Halo and run into a tank and fly or stuff that was good fun right there.

I think there's going to be a lot of screwing around in PS, moreso than a regular game because all the team-oriented players will probably want something to do while they wait for everyone to get organized for that next big assault. That, and a MAX race would be just plain funny.

that would be funny to watch.. but im betting there is a .09% of it being in the game.

Set up a bunch of Vanguards behind some sort of ramp, then gun it over 'em on your ATV Evil Kenevil (sp?) style. That would be funny. Or trying to ramp over a river.

I could see them having war games within a group {no grief points} and that would give the newbies some experience in how to find cover and aim and things like these.

Are you talking about minigames being implemented by the devs, or just people setting up games, cause I think the latter is very likely to happen, but I dont see the first happen.
I'm pretty sure that we'll see something like canonball races ;) Get from base A on continent B to base C on continent D, and the only rule is there are no rules.

It'd be neat to have an outfit of people that coordinate games, then they give some prize (like another empire's weapon/ vehicle) to the winner.

The thread is about people doing stuff ingame.
The term minigames is normally related to well, games built into another game.
So I made the joke, expecting *noone* to believe that I seriously meant pong and pacman should be included.

Anyone ever play TimeSplitters 2? You can play Anaconda (and something else, but I forget it's name) on your little radar thingy. That'd be pretty funny if you could play Pac-Man in game. "In the heat of battle you accidently kill your commander, all because you were playing Pong on your HUD."

Oh, I think this could be very entertaining, especially when you want a little break between the action. You could do mosquito air races among the towers of a base. You could do demolition derbies, ATV races, ramps, all kinds of fun stuff. Just because the game is about great combat doesn't mean that you can't invent other ways to enjoy it as well;)
The landmine in the air would be a good way to test bolt-driver guys, just have them go out a few clicks, and chuck a couple in the air;)

So basicly there is nothing to stop a group of querky players from grabbing a couple of buggys and racing around. Thats cool.
I think I remember a dev saying that some of the roads were a bit narrow with edges that you could fall off.
I could myself being entertained watching a rally race through the mountains.
R&R activities will be a nice break from the battle now and again.

1) Mines can not be deployed in the air.
2) I can see some mini game maybe. Everquest had gems, I played that alot.
3) Some outfits might have training runs and stuff. No grief points for killin squad mates.
my question: if you have 3 squads form a platoon can you kill all memebers of the platoon without grief, or only squad memembers still ?

OMG, hellsfire, i used to do the same thing with the warthogs i halo.. you are right, it is hours of fun.. i liked it when i hit the guy and when he respawned, he would have a hard time getting back into the warthog because i chased him.

Pretty sure it is just your squad. Again, I think Platoons are JUST to link the commanders together, and since every time the grief system has been mentioned, they state that squads don't earn grief points for huting those within the squad, I would imagine it doesn't include platoons.
