OMG the crazy Alaskan dude is selling his robot?! Last I heard it had a flamethrower and could shoot 9 inch nails.
I thought it was his pride and joy... must be he ran into an engineering problem.
Edit- upon further inspection it appears he's selling it as a prototype to fund further development and stuff. And it seems that he replaced the nail gun with another flamethrower.

I'd get that instead of a porche. Picture this: You're co-worker pulls into his parking space in his brand new Porche Boxter, everyone gathers around, complementing him, and in the distance the sound of working hydraulics and a clanking sound can be heard. Flames fly out from nowhere, lighting the vehicle on fire, as you then proceed to stomp the shit out of the car.
That, or Grand Theft Auto-style FFA mass killings.

I'd walk to work in it :D just to see everyone's reaction. Then I'd just take it to fairs and scare little children muhahahhahaha
Pfff... A guy in Japan made one of these weeks ago, you could even get in it and walk around.

We should pool our money together, paint it purple and call it Aphelion.
It would make a great ice breaker at parties

Yeah. All the girls will say "Ohhh its so BIG..." and "does it seat two?" and "Can you give me a ride on your giant thing?" and I'll just say "Don't worry girls, I think I can squeeze you in."

what he fails to mention is that he took one step with it and it fell over.

He said it has the basic mechanics of walking down but don't expect any large steps since it would require one leg to be in the air while the others on the ground. Weight shifting = bad.

Well I think the main difference between the NMX04-1A and Robosapien is about 1.5 tons.

Exactly. Plus the way the Robosapien walks is kind of ugly... I'd rather make small steps in a big normal looking robot then big steps in a robot with girating hips and big feet that flop around.

So true.
Damn that game rocked. (And 3... though the problem is they don't add enough new stuff each sequel).
