So the launcher is being odd to me.

So I decided to log in to PS again to react the account for 30 days. I've always kept PS on my hard drive, but I long ago deleted the shortcut to it. So, OK, I go digging around for planetside.exe, find it, says it needs the Launchpad. Duh, that's right, so I go start up the Launchpad, remembering what that looks like...

... and now I'm staring at this i-pod-wannabe thing on my screen, and with no obvious way to access Planetside.

wtf? How do you start up Planetside these days?

You need to create the right shortcut to do it. Just download psinstall :p

Yes on the shortcut to the launcher, edit the target line: (Right-Click on it - Properties)

Originally something like:

"C:\Program Files\Sony\Station\Launchpad\Launchpad.exe"

Change to:

"C:\Program Files\Sony\Station\Launchpad\Launchpad.exe" /game:PlanetSide

And you should be good to go. :)
