So who out there actually has a MySpace page? I personally do not have one and do not plan to ever have one :lol: The place scares me to be honest (other than the supposed hot chicks on there)

I spend alot of time blocking MySpace at my job.. the place is a haven for stalkers imo.

What the heck is so appealing about it? :confused:

I got it the month it came out and din't use it for 6 months until my g/f started using it and she kinda dragged me into it. I did that to my friend and now he's pickin up all the slutty freshman.....what a pimp.

I only have one to benefit my band, have a personal and all 4 of us know the password to the band page. Easy to get in contact with record companies and booking agencies. I'll post the link when we get our new demo, the old one isnt the most impressive considering the guy who recorded and mixed it sucks, but we are usually tight on money, equipment+gas+food=no money :p

I like myspace just because it helps me keep in touch with people I never get a chance to talk to. I can post em comments, check their blogs and keep up on whats goin on with em. I don't do much with my myspace (haven't blogged in ages) but periodically I'll check up on my friends with it.

I have two. The first one is me specifically. But, the second one is for my website. It's just another way for me to connect everyone, on my website, together. Then I have my personal account for the same reason. Another way of getting in touch with me.

I don't really use it out of paintball (since that is my business), and the few friends I have who aren't paintball, they contacted me. I definately see the bad things about Myspace. A private school in New Jersey even went as far to not allow students at that school to use them, and if they are found using it, the school will go as far as expelling them.

Yea MySpace has started getting more and more media attention as far as kids getting raped, assaulted etc. I mean you can search by school.. year age then just sit out front of teh school and wait for them to come out.

Yeah, I never really looked before but decided to check out 5-6 random ones just to see what the hype is about and my eyes were soon bleeding from looking at the polka dotted plaid backgrounds, animated icons, poorly formatted text, and weird layout. My girlfriend's page formatting is pretty good, she learned HTML from scratch just to do it. It's very zen. And not overly annoying.

And yes. If I thought it sucked, I'd come out and say it.

At least she took the time to learn properly. As you said, most are smacktards. I'd hate to see what the code looks like for most of those pages, even though I don't know HTML at all. I think I could still figure out enough to know that it's terrible.
