If a person with an infiltration suit can use an "ACE" then there would be a whole new strategy to the game.
you could use the ACE as a mine. You could sneak around while cloaked an deploy mines everywhere. You could deploy them right in front of tanks or at the top of a ramp so they wouldn't see it. This could begin to be an annoyance so everyone would have to carry a mine sweeper, which could be a pain. All someone would have to do to get some kills would be to place mines right outside a base door. It would take a while for people to figure figure out what was going on and have to get a mine sweeper. Plus, when you are cloaked, no one will be able to see you laying them.
My question out of this is: Can the infitration suit carry an "ACE"? and if so, how many?
Another question is: If you use the ACE as a turret, can you deploy it anywhere or does it have to be at one of your bases?

ACE turrets can be set up anymore. I assume Infils could carry 2-3 ACEs. When setting up the mine, the guy would become visible. Not to mention Audio and Darklight will pick him up. If I had a base and I was worried about hackers I would do this.
1) Aircraft overhead. Some equipped with Darklight
2) Cloakers with Audio or Darklight scouting around outside of base.
3) MAXes/ Grunts roaming base with Darkligh/Audio on.
4) Permanent guard in command room and generator room. These would have Darklight and Audio. These guards would be rotated.
5) Snipers, AA, AV, and AI MAXes on the walls. If turrets weren't auto, a man in every turret.
6) Buggies patrolling borders.
This would take an entire platoon pretty much. I would only use it on Very Heavily at risk bases. Ex: Captured by us recently, on border, feared outfit in nearby base. This would be tough to crack.

Did you mean "CAN'T be set up anymore"
or "Can be set up anywhere"
?
And if all those things can detect cloakers, what is the point of them?

my guess is the knife's going to be the infiltrators best friend. probably the most satisfying kill as well.

But you cannot use the full damage capability, so the bodygaurds will swoop in and rape you.

ACE turrets have to be set up in your empires SOI.
Setting up mines, hacking, healing and other stuff like that only brings you up to the first level of visibility similar to when you walk, of course the mine/hacking beam is also visible.
Audio amplifier implant can only pick you up when you run, and you can also use the silent run implant.
And SmokeJumper has stated that the knife is the infilitrators best friend. Even without the secondary mode, you can still use the melee booster to do more damage.

seriously? i must have missed the part about not using secondary mode in the infultration suit. oh well, thats what melee bost is for
