Ingame Gestures

On the last dev chat shoutcast Sj said there would be no ragdoll physics and they had a lot of death animations for the game. What about gestures like a "salute" or a "come on wave motion" in the game. Will there be any premade ingame movement gestures for PS like we have seen in other FPS games?

Ragdoll, sry don't know exactly what you mean. I hope you can make rude gestures, like in UT2003 when you win and stuff.

Ragdoll physics: For example: Say if some one punched you in the sholder you would move in such a way that it showed you were punched in the sholder. Instead of just hitting someone and they didn't move. Ragdoll physics is kind of like body hit location movement applied in real time to some what real physics. Easiest example I can give is in the Movie Terminator 2, when the T2000 was getting shot with the shogun towards the very end of the movie. Every time he got shot he flentched and moved to simulate in real life getting shot in real time with body hit location.

Yes, there are emotes/gestures in game. I remember somewhere in a comment that although you can't talk to your enemy, you can use physical taunts with various emotes.

be nice if they had "take a piss on ur enemy's dead body" gestures but some how i doubt it :p

Yes there are gestures in the game.

Such jesters include:

rude gesters, giving people the bird, stuff like that

kneeling

saulting

dancing (victory dance oh yea)

sighing

thats all i can think of now.

Well.. if they're not going to have head and limb shots i'd assume that rules out ragdoll... Although I'd be amused to see someone shot in the foot and go down clutching their throat...
