[Feedback] Buddy Exchange Users

Did you get a key via the Key Exchange? If so we would love to hear your feedback on PlanetSide and PSU. Did you subscribe? Did you like the game? Are there any suggestions you would make?

We'd love to have many of you who came through and got keys to hang around with us in the community - it is a great one :D

Yeah i cheated so i got three keys from you guys and im really sorry for that abusive behavior, i just wanted two of my friends to have a go at this game to...I got banned after that, and i had it coming, again, sorry guys.:(
But, we downloaded, and we all fired it up at the same time, and stood well back...The registration and things you had to do to actually get right on playing was a hassle, since none of us are use to MMO-games. But we managed to sort it out, and we had voicecomm (Ventrilo). We choosed Terran as a start, just becouse i was in the beta back in 2003 for a while and had a blast as a Terran. Things have changed...
We formed a squad, just the three of us, rookies as we were we started out the training and got one and a half more cert. We spent a long time just discussing what to be or not to be (kinda like Shakespeare) and one of us took galaxy cert, i took basic engie and the other advanced hacker. Also, two of us were MAX:es. And off we went, to some planet and there we just spent some time driving around in the Gal, and we got a Sunderer and drove around in that for a while and had fun just driving around for a bit, just looking at the views, and found out the hard way about mines and spitfireturrets...Later, we hacked an enemy base and of course one guy comes in to tha CC and kill us all, an NC MAX...Kinda embarrassing at first, there we were, two MAX:es (one pounder, one dual) and one with the reinforced armour, and got killed almost in an instant by that MAX. But we went down quite bravely, i might add...
We spawned back in the sanctuary, and got in to hevier fights as we learned more and more, we all got our first kills, and we were proud as can be every time we got a kill...We played from 20:00 to 04:30, and two of us had to get up early the next day...
So the day after, the three of us bought the game via Direct2Drive. And we have been having a blast since...
Also, i donated three of my trial keys (under the name Vargen) just to make up for what i did. I might be donating even more, i got a couple of more friends, and they might also try it out.

Question: is the europe server less populated, is it better to play on a US server? Or will I get bad ping (hope not; this is 2006 :p)

Enjoy! Hope to see you on Werner. As for population, it seems to be a lot of players primetime! US servers is higher in ping yes, around 140 for me, and i got a 100Mbit connection, and live in Sweden. I havnt tried any US server yet, but im sure its playable. Euro server Werner got 45-60 in ping for me. Not bad, considering...

Feedback? I have to say holy smokes, this game rocks...

The buddy key drive is a great thing you guys did, would love to see a huge throwdown dometime (Was pretty intense today actually)... No complaints, actually the games' simplicity makes it all that much more enjoyable. Plus the fact that you increase in power/levels makes it more than a FPS. Wish I gave this game a try sooner!

I got a key the day the BKE went live(Feb. 6), courtesy of Gryphon. Whaddaya know? I'm addicted. I even managed to help form an outfit, which really contributes to my stay as a member of the PS community.

I just purchased the game yesterday and donated all 10 keys. Turns out they're all in the hands of happy users mere seconds after I entered them...after all, it only made sense to give back to the community.

More games with these kinds of trials need this sort of program to recruit potential customers...I wonder if someone's going to start one for WWIIO, considering how the 14-day trial went down a few days ago. (On the other hand, the buddy key trial is 30 days!)

Loving it, so far! Been playing for under 24 hours and killed 5 or so people, which I'm happy with!

The only problem was acquiring a key in the first place. Might I suggest some sort of waiting list program to keep it nice and fair?

I got a key from Gryphon through your system early on ( thanks Gryphon ! ) by pure luck. I googled for Planetside 10 day trial key and ended up here. I beta tested Planetside wayyy back but got sucked into another game when it went live. To make a long story short someone on Rage3d mentioned Fodderside and I ended up here.

Got sucked right back in :D , after ten days I got the direct2drive version and became a subscriber. After using the first 6 days to recert over and over I finally found that VS adv hacker and combat eng on Emerald fits my playstyle the best.

I can only recommend to really use the no wait recert option the first 6 days, and find a combination you enjoy playing.

Oh, and I donated 5 keys back so far, trying to convince some I know to give it a spin with the rest, but will likely donate a few more later.

I got a key a couple weeks ago when the mess of 30 day keys became available. A buddy of mine plays PS, so he clued me in to PSU. I registered, got my key, and then started playing. Solo play would be boring, but almost from the start I joined up with Azure Twilight, and have been having a blast ever since.

I even flew gal last night for like four drops, and managed not to kill anybody. Woohoo! CR here I come!

erm.....i heard about planetside a few days ago, then i heard about how PSU might have trial keys left. so,i went to psu,made my account,and then it said that i already have a key :cry: is it because im always hearing lots of explosions when my brothers down here on his account? Looks like if you log in with a station account that's never had a subscription and use the installer found here: http://planetside.station.sony.com/download.vm

You can just click on the Free 14 day trial option during installation.

Surprisingly good news since I wanted to pull some screen shots and didn't really feel like resubbing completely :D
