Has started off really well. I managed to lock my keys in my car yesterday when I got home and didn't realise till this morning  First time I have ever locked my keys in my car.
On the bright side I get to have a short Friday while I sit here at home waiting for my mom to drop off my spare set :ugh:

my mom used to have a Volkswagon, that if you locked the door and shut it, it would unlock. So when the door was closed you had to lock it from inside or outside with a key, truely awesome but only seen on an 80s car : /
Edit: I overslept for work today, pretty sure if I missed one more day I'd get fired. If I go in Monday, they better not send me home.

Haha, I laugh at the fact ya gotta wait for your mum.
My day was pretty....long. There was an overnighter at the teen center i work at so i stayed there all night playing Planetside and Rome Total War. I just got home and I gotta recoupperate my energy for the Daytona 500 tomorrow.
And guess what. For the first time in 5 years (they come in streaks)....IT SNOWED AT MY HOUSE. Like a very thin dusting. All the mountains got some snow on the peaks.
This is why I love it here. I got every enviornment at my disposal. Whether i wanna go to the city, to the beach, or just chill on the mountain. I have it.

My day went like this:
Got up, got ready for work. Thought I grabbed my security badge (I work at ADT the alarm company) but I guess I forgot. Ran outside with my hair still wet from the shower, it froze into hard ice. I drove 40 minutes to work with the heater blasting, and got there just as the ice in my hair was melting, sending cold water trickling down my back. I run up to the door at work, 1 minute late. I suddenly realize I don't have my badge. If I'm 3 minutes late I get an occurence (which doesn't look good and is basically a step towards getting fired). I call my friend inside... she doesn't answer her phone. I call the resource desk and ask for someone to open the door, but just as I do someone opens the door for me inside. So I run inside, logging into the computer just in time. The girl I called says hi to me, looks down at her phone and goes "Oh look! I got a call!" --_--.
So I start working, taking some calls and kinda enjoying the fact that it's a slow day, not a lot of work. Then my team leader walks up and hands me 19 pages of houses to call (theres about a dozen houses on each page), all appointments we can't make and need to be rescheduled. I got a little help making the calls from my friend, but it still wasn't a fun experience. People don't like being told that the appointment they took off work for or rearranged their schedule for isn't happening.
Finally, all my coworkers leave and I manage to dump the last few pages of calls on someone else to do. This leaves me the only one from my department in the building, which isn't so bad because at that point it's 2100 and I've got practically no calls coming in. I had to deal with a pissed off manager at a Sears but the rest of the night I spent browsing CNN.com (where I pretty much read every article Hamma seems to post on here), playing Sonic the Hedgehog on my phone and eating popcorn. Meanwhile the chumps over in the scheduling department can't even read magazines or browse webpages because they have managers watching them. :p I love my job. Finally 2330 rolled around and I drove home. Grabbed a bagel and some coffee from Tim Horton's on my way home and drove through another 40 minutes of crap weather home. In a couple hours I'll head to bed, rinse and repeat tomorrow.
So that was my day. Probably in more detail than any of you wanted, but that's just how I do things. :p

Nah, really its not too bad... you get 9 occurences before you're fired, and every 30 days of perfect attendance you buy back 1 occurrence. Also you have the ability to 2 waive 2 occurences a year due to late because of weather (it gets pretty nasty here sometimes).
To be honest, ADT is really cool about vacations and benefits and stuff. I get 2 weeks paid vacation every year that I can apply for any time, I think we get 6 paid sick days every year, and all national holidays are paid if you don't work, and holiday (1.5x pay) if you work them. We also have a couple double holidays like Thanksgiving and New Years.
TBH, I love my job. I could stand to get paid more (I won't say how much) for what I do (angry people) but the people I work with are great (I party with them at the bar every Thursday night) and my managers are great (my manager yelled at me for not going to the bar last week, and she always buys us free drinks). When my car broke down last week and I had to take 3 days to have it repaired, they only counted it as 1 day absence (1 occurence) and offered to have them turned into paid vacation days (though I declined... I'm saving those).
The only things that will get you fired at my job are: stupid things (like disabling the alarm in a bank and then it getting robbed, though that'll get you prosecuted as well), occurences (some people get so used to just taking an occurence they don't realize when they've hit 9), or losing your temper with a customer (though they cut you some slack if the dude is being a prick).
Yes, I like to talk about my job. My last job (stocking lumber for Lowes) sucked ass. Now I have a job I'm good at, work in a well-respected department (Special Operations, high priority accounts and sub-contractors), I'm good at what I do (after 5 months I became a trainer after having been taught in procedures for 5 different departments) and I'm proud of what my company does (we keep j00 bitches safe).
ok I'll shut up now (I just noticed I love using parenthesis).

I dont know what I want to major in once I hit college. I hate desk jobs and anything where I have to be in the 100 degree weather all day. I could play pro football but chances are slim if I keep slacking on training like I am now. :(
