Because everybody calls it micro torrent and/or has that symbol on their keyboard.

Azuerus FTW!

Indeed, though it is slightly more complicated because it has more features then most torrent programs.

How many of those features do you actually use?

I dunno about everybody else, but I just use my torrent client for downloading torrents. Not to mention, ***181;Torrent (:doh:) doesn't cripple my computer or my internet connection, and I can use it alongside various other things if I need to.

EDIT: Just to please Jaged, I'll start typing ***181;Torrent from now on.

It's not a 'u' it's a 'mu' (pronounced mew) it looks like this ***181;

It's used as an abreviation to mean micro: micrometers are abreviated ***181;m

Accept it's updated by the same average joe who is debating here on what the symbol is and how its pronounced and such has the same potential for debatable accuracy.

However, the average joe noted that the creator pronounces it as "youtorrent", meaning that either both arguments presented here were invalid, or they were both right in the sense of common usage.

I'm not saying it isn't pronouced microtorrent.

I am saying the symbol '***181;' is the greek letter mu. It itself is not pronounced micro, it however can be used to abriviate micro.
