So today the old PSU server arrived at my home. This server hosted PSU for many years before its decomission last year.

It still has everything on it of course - as it was when the site went offline ;)

not sure hehe - dont have anywhere to hook it up - It will probably go in the closet next to the other former server (hosted shoutcast) :D

And you should keep it, one day when we're using quantum computers and neural implants you could sell it to a museum.... complete with PSU as an example of an early 21st century website :)

Hamma owned the server. They just supplied the space and connection.

Hamma I'm sure your closet is full of other stuff. Just so you know my closet has plenty of room. ;)

Yes I own the box - I bought 3 of them from this guy back when PSU was new I got all 3 for an insanly low price. Then one melted down and blew up so I rented one direct from the company. I now have the 2 that I own - I think I am going to construct some kind of statue out of them.

At least it wasn't an important one - just shoutcast.

The guy who ran our old ISP also managed to burn the processor in this particular box by knocking off the heatsink when upgrading the ram. :mad:

The guy who ran our first host was a hack - near the end of our run with him he dissapeared.. literally. His wife didn't even know where he was.

I don't recall the specs - would have to look it up. :p It's no powerhouse - AMD something or other with 1GB/RAM
