Bah PS3 will fall to the Might of MICROSOFT, not because im a Microsoft fan but just because they have lost a lot of there game manufactuers to the 360 (The PS3 is a bugger to code on apparantly), and all so you dont get much in the way of improved graphics, and microsoft have got the jump on sony, and only Austarlians will be able to use that controller.

We're probably looking at a spring 2007 release as opposed to 2006 - a whole year late giving xbox 360 and the other compretitors abple chance to gain a firm foothold in the next-generation console market. With a currently project price tag of nearly $900 dollars, PS3 is going to be a tough sell to many consumers.
With the new Nintendo Revolution projected at $150-$200 dollars, Sony may be in for some rough times with the PS3 - Blu-Ray or not - when trying to capture the cosumers dollars.

I'll be getting it... eventually...

I'd have to get around to getting a 360... and upgrading my computer.

(The PS3 is a bugger to code on apparantly)
I read an article about that a while back. The coding of PS3 games is based on a simple version of OpenGL (apparently it uses the same library as cell phones or something.) So it has more in common with PC games than the 360 does. The snag comes when they have to make it run on the 8-processor architecture, for which IBM just announced a compiler they've had in development called the Octopiler. This should make it even easier.

As for losing game manufacturers to Microsoft, Sony still has the majority of the Japanese market/developers.

They are in trouble though, if they come out next year like Mars speculated. AFAIK, the price tag is still speculation however and based on the current costs of the components, but I don't know very much about that.
