The only available source is drudge now - once something more official comes out I will link it.

thats crazy considering how far away from the sun it is. it must have a moltne core that keeps the water from freezing.

There is still a chance this isn't true - I hope it is though.

And I hope we find life that is nothing like what we have here on earth so we can prove once and for all we are not and can not be alone in the universe. To think we are alone is pretty arrogant. It also means many religions will have to go back to the drawing board. None of this creationism bullshit.

It's official.

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- The Cassini spacecraft has found evidence of liquid water spewing from geysers on one of Saturn's icy moons, raising the tantalizing possibility that the celestial object harbors life.

The surprising discovery excited some scientists, who say the Saturn moon, Enceladus, should be added to the short list of places within the solar system most likely to have extraterrestrial life.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/space/03/09/enceladus.water.ap/index.html

Should be a top story on CNN but of course.. it isnt.

 That sort of reminds me of an Adam Corolla Project episode.

I have a feeling we won't find sentient beings but maybe bacteria or some type of plants

I still give Europa a higher chance for life... I mean its a surface of ice, possibly over a huge sea of warm water and it has an oxygen atmosphere.

Hello 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Can't wait for the second star.

I was reffereing to the general series.

If there are geysers, then it definitely has a molten core. Geothermal energy is the cause of geysers.

We'll probably end up colonizing some of those moons and use giant magnifying mirrors to heat it up enough for for human life to live on the surface.

HAL is in space, and is therefore always getting solar rays, meaning that it could always be morning.

Hmm..sorry for the double post..I cant seem to find the edit button.

Anyways, Jupiter is too small to become a star, I just wanted to add that.

HAL is in space, and is therefore always getting solar rays, meaning that it could always be morning.

Wrong: The discovery, that HAL is inside of, is orbiting jupiter, so it goes "behind" jupiter every so often, emulating a planetary rotation day/night cycle, it just so happens it orbits with a speed roughly in tune with north america's day/night cycle. Thus, HAL's morning is Hamma's morning.

BS your way out of that. :p
