No. It needs 64 MB of RAM. And it needs to be a Geforce 2 o higher. Gefore 2s are super cheap though so if you need to upgrade it'll cost you next to nothing. In fact.RAdeon 8500s and Geforce 3s rea less than a 100 dollars.

I meant 128 RAM, and I assume from culkids reaction that I have a good card. :) Yay! I don't know much about graphics cards, and I had never heard about mine on the board.

It doesn't ahve 128 MB of RAM. Only ATi cards with that rae the Radeon series. I had this card. IT won't work with PS. http://mirror.ati.com/products/pc/xpert2000/index.html
This link shows it's stats. It's not a very good card.

It's the RageFury Pro, not the EXPERT 2000.

Unluckily for you...It's in the "legacy" section...eep...

Agaoin only ATi cards to support 128 MB of RAM is the Radeon series. You'll still need to upgrade to a Geforce 2 though. Also, Rage 128 is an engine, not the RAM. Much like Radeon is an engine.(That the right word..I pciked...errr..sounds wrong..)

Rage fury cards were before Radeon cards, i won't expect anything to work with that. And right now the minimum RAM for PS is 512mb. Flameseeker if you want to have any hope of running PS i would get a new system, PM me if you want me to set give you a list of components. As for culkid i'd suggest you do a bit more research on harware.

I don't think they mentioned the exact specs it was lowered to.

I'd still gonout and upgrade to 512. The SWAP file isn't going to be very happy with you. I would just spend the money and get 512 MB of RAM.

Sounds like I'm utterly screwed. Darn.

would it be cool if i had 256 mb now, bought another 256 to equal 512 instead of buying just 1 512?

Yes...Why wouldn;t it be?

culkid

just wondering because the ram at my store for 256 is 39.99. is that a good price?

Sputty
2003-02-16, 08:31 PM
Yeah...that's an average retail price. What brand is it? Well..look online at some sites. Corsair is supposed to be really good. Check their site. BRTW..what type of comp do you hvae? P3, P4?..what speed of ram? Find out those before you buy. If it's a P3 you can assume it's going to b PC133

Tonight i bought two things from newegg.com the best card I could afford at the moment. A Radeon 9000pro with 128mb- $95 and a 512mb stick o' DDR. This should be a pretty nice upgrade from my PCI gf4 mx420 and 256mb of sdram.
