The reserves program is now officially live!

Whichever way you choose to serve -- either full time on Active Duty within PlanetSide, or part time in the PlanetSide Reserves -- soon you will become an elite well trained fighting machine. In you are interested in the PlanetSide Reserves please use the following steps to enlist.
The installer download is about 1.8GB, instructions on how to get going are here. While you are waiting be sure to check out the official Reserves FAQ and also our brand new Reservist Field Guide!

If you are looking for a place to meet up with a few PlanetSide players on voice chat be sure to check out our very own Public TeamSpeak Server here. Also the PSU Buddy Key Exchange has been closed to requests but you can still donate for the future!

Hi,

Anyone have this downloaded that they could throw up a torrent for? Having to download all 1.9GB without having connection issues can be troublesome and not being able to resume the transfer makes it a waste of time.

Thanks

so anyways, is the reserves program both planetside and the expansion core combat, or just planetside?

As of the reserves program, core combat is now part of the main game. All players past and present as well as the reserves get core combat now.

Created a torrent for the download so others can get it without doing the one big download. Check out mininova.org for link to torrent.

Yeah that is pretty good. I'm not sure why SOE didn't halt the selling of the standalone game, and do either just the bundle or the expansion on its own, though, as that probably would have solved the issues for people who were trying to figure out what they had and what they still needed.

Q: How would a PlanetSide Reserves account user convert to paying subscriber?
A: On exit from the game, you will be taken to a website that will allow you to purchase the game client and upgrade to a monthly subscription for the price indicated on the website, which includes the opportunity to obtain the Battle Frame Robotics (BFRs), the giant robot units, and gain more XP to progress through higher Battle Ranks. With higher XP you will be able to gain new implants, better weapons and higher command ranks.

Thats what i dont get, it never popped up with a webpage for me.
I wanna sub to this game, i just dont know where i have to go to do it.
