Whats up with 16bit?

Why is it that a lot of the POTD are in 16bit Video. How many poepels here play this game in not graphics all the way up and in 16Bit Video.

Plenty of people have graphic cards and systems capable of running Planetside at full res. This code is 3 years old after all, not a real challange to todays medium and high-end graphics cards. Some our POTD were from a while back when the previous generation of video cards were common. Some are current and thus with that range of contributions, POTD quality will vary.

It's mostly because gameplay goes faster on low detail. Everyone would love to play on high-detail, but it goes too slow to be any fun for most people.

I do, I don't care about graphics and play all games with the lowest graphics possibly, and no my computer doesn't suck.

I am the exact opposite, I will at all cost have graphics all the up but need at least 30FPS to play. but I love good graphics!!!
