Prisoners

Will there be a way to take prisoners or surrender? I really will not feel like fighting when shot down in the middle of the TR Stronghold surrounded by MAXes, Mosquitos, and with no chance of rescue.

Well personally, I wouldnt want to surrender if I could if I was in that situation. I meen, your in the middle of a bunch of people. Can you say, turn around in circles shooting and hope good things happen?

It also doesn't matter if you die so why would you allow yourself to be captured?

if your in that situation the only possible way out is to plop down as many gernades as possible before someoen kills you first.

I would also advise a "mayday" call over the com before you hit the deck. If I was close I would help as would alot of your teammates.

I feel that after a few weeks/months your gonna be taking names and your list of good peeps are gonna be those you help and those that help you.

But I would love to say in game "Hands Up you Terran scum" :p

Having a POW system would be kind of useless.. there isn't a point for having something like that. Besides, SmokeJumper made no mention of enemy POW camps :)

Play along until they take you to a base, bring out a few ACEs that you smuggled in (I don't want to know how) and deploy a few turrets, call for help, run.

Could be interesting to have prisonners.

Only thing is, once you are taken prisonner, you simply respawn, but the enemy have POWs.. more or less AIs of some sort. In prison facilities... which you could assault to rescue the prisonners from your faction.

Only thing is... it ends there. Nothing else to do about it... no money involved.. unless you get Beps anc ceps of whatever...

I just had an idea..what if you could be taken prisoner, and you had to play one of your alternate characters until you were freed? That could actually work..and force more peeps to have another reason to create more than one character aside from the additional alternate certs! Time to start working on a Planetside Mod..heh

You gotta admit it would be kinda fun to make somebody surrender. They pull out a white flag, get down on their knees with their hands behind their head, then BAM! You shoot them in the head with a Flechette Rifle. That would be awsome.

I think if they added POW system they would have to actually make you do something like work or something. I would just empty my clip into the sons of bitvhes and run through the hole i just made hoping that they take each other out in the confusion and get their weapons locked up. That would be fun. Actually the alternate characters would come in handy and explain to me how you would be able to create a MOD from a MMORPG.....hmmm....YOU CANT!
