FAQ
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Use empire specific rifles where possible. The punisher *looks* cool but really isn't.
Always have at least three medikits on your "favorites" loadout. (There are exceptions though)
Bind a mouse button to using medikits. The 0.8 seconds it takes to press F1 is shortened to 0.001 seconds to press that mouse button, it will save your life.
There are no stupid questions only stupid answers. ASK either on the PlanetSide forums, or (ingame) in /b chat, someone will assist you.
Controlled fire: learn to fire in bursts. (Especially with Medium Assault Weapons)
Running from vehicles and aircraft is often better than shooting at it with a punisher. On the same note, avoid large, open spaces where a vehicle is likely to find and kill you.
Spend some "time out" in virtual training and get a feel for the weapons. (Also, you get experience for every weapon/support item used)
Run from Anti-Infantry Maxes, (learn what they sound like (seriously)), unless you have AV and/or the skills to match.
Join a squad/outfit, you will have a better overall PlanetSide experience.
Always check that your infiltration suit is ON (press B) I have killed way to many new infiltrators who havn't had the suit on recently.
Certing a MAX suit is a newbies best friend. (It's considered a "lame" tactic by many veterans, you can ignore them.)
Cloakers are never as invisible as you think. (I would know, I play one ^-^)
Mossies are a cloakers worst enemy, be like the rabbit and stay very still. (They have an in-flight radar that causes moving/non-sensor-shielded enemies to appear on their and any of their nearby allies radar)
Plasma grenades are a cloakers second worst enemy, they cause you to be lit up by the green burning animation, basically broadcasting your location to any nearby enemies.
E.M.P. Grenades are the most useful things in the game: they detonate mines, jam implants/spitfires/motion sensors/vehicle weapons and cause BFRs to become 75% disabled. Always carry a couple.
ALWAYS CARRY A REK (Hacker Tool, allows you to hack open enemy doors, and even more if you cert Hacking/Advanced Hacking)
You don't need to be certed in hacking to use a REK on doors / command consoles, it just takes longer. (Known as "granny hacking" by veterans)
Heavy Assault Weapons: Avoid fighting the jackhammer up close, the Mini Chain Gun outdoors and the Lasher down corridors. All these weapons are leathal in towers.
Always have at LEAST one vehicle skill this will save you the pain of running anywhere (Which will put you off the game). ATV and harrasser are one cert point, so there is no excuse for not having it. Additionally the harrasser is not a frontline combat vehicle, so don't charge over bridges in them. (Let the heavier vehicles go across first, tanks, BFRs, ect.)
To find the mission list, press U then select Training Missions. (Ask in /b or on the PlanetSide Forums (http://psforums.station.sony.com/ps/) if they don't appear to work)
