Forgive me if we already had a topic for this game, but is anyone planning to pick it up? I'm contemplating it, as I'm kinda in a game funk right now, and don't have anything to play. It looks pretty cool, but I'm somewhat worried it will suck and then I'll be stuck with a shitty game. Comments?

It's in Open Beta, check it out, I'm still contemplating myself. Getting Tired of WoW and PS 24/7. If it's not a sure thing though I wont.

I have been in beta for a long long time. This game does not impress me at all. It has the whole cool blow shit up and drive factor but that wears off really quick. Then again I haven't played in a long time and it might have improved but I doubt it. The fact is all it has going for it is the fast car combat. The rest of the game is pretty weak compaired to other games available on the market today.

So essentially, it's a CoH remake only with cars instead of super heroes? That game got old quick too, but rocked hardcore at the beginning.

I liked CoH better personaly.

If you are looking for a great MMO try out EQ2. It is the best MMO on the market currently in my humble opinion. (Keep in mind I am no fanboi. I have a short fuse for MMORPG's and EQ2 has been able to hold my attention better then any MMO save planetside to date. At least try the free trial if you havent already played it.)

Auto Assault is more akin to Lineage II than CoH. CoH owns, Lineage 2 is just pretty. CoH had lots of customisation, Lineage II had virtually none.

See, the problem is I don't want another standard MMO like WoW. That's what's got me in this funk to begin with. I want something that isn't gear dependent and isn't a grind. Getting back into Planetside is looking like the best option as of now, but I may delay that until I get my new laptop, as it ran pretty badly when I last played.
