Uhh to be honest I wasn't very impressed, nothing a player with 2 years of experience and a tab sheet couldn't do....

That isnt the point, he wasnt playing from a tab sheet, he changed the style of the song.

Lol, don't get me wrong Gio, I'm not saying hes not talented, I'm just saying that its nothing I haven't seen before, hell half the people I hang out with (including myself) are on par, if not better that that guy. He completely lacked any variation between tremello, it was the same feel through the whole song, I'm not sure but I didn't see ANY use of a tremelo arm. There was a relative lack of creativity, all kinda stayed in scale, which is fine for the song but I just didn't feel the rhythm at all, hell was there one?

I'm only critisizing because I don't see the people around lakeville (my city) that have 3 times that guys skill posting video's on the internet.

Check some of the other videos on the right sidebar. Maybe that will change your opinion.

I'm a fan of the more bluesy kinda guitar in general.

Also, even if I'm not particularly fond of a certian sound, like a large amount of bluegrass, but I can apreciate it when it takes some technical skill.

Anyone ever see that guy that played "while my guitar gently weeps" on the eukalalalyayshdjhthing, that was preaty cool.

My playstyle on my guitar is extremely heavily influenced by B.B. King, and miscelanious blues shit I've heard throughout my life. I improvise out of mainly blues scales (all 5 penatonics, etc) but I mix in a grunge like tone. I like to think of my tone/playstyle as unique. I'm working on recording a couple tracks which I will gladly post up on the forums, will probably be able to do so within the next 2-3 weeks. Probably even throw vocals in too :)

The 15 year old isn't bad, but I've never been a big fan of shredding. In fact alot of my top 10 guitar solos are in metallica and avenged sevenfold. I prefer a clearer slower sound, don't get me wrong I like grind-core from time to time but... y'know...

My little bro is a guitarist, I play keyboard, you should see my lounge, I've got all his guitar stuff wired into my stereo system along with his amp and equipment. I need to get a new keyboard (my old board was old and kinda crappy, I need something nice) along with the spare time to brush up and maybe me and my bro can jam out. I'll have to show him that guitar vid, I'm sure he'll like it. TBH, if you want to impress me, best way is to show me a vid of someone with mad keyboarding skills.

Ladies and gentlemen: Herman Li of Dragonforce
YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

I love the band, so I may be biased, but when I first watched this video, I was utterly stunned. His fingers move like lightning and he's just always in perfect control. That, coupled with his unique style, make him one of the best I've ever seen. Can't wait to see them May 4th.

Saw them in Missouri a couple weeks back with my cousin. Victor Wooten is an amazing bassist.
