I'm far from a fan of rap, but even the rap tracks from this band were spectacular, this is a shame :( On the bright side Blur is working on a new album.

Fuck, that sucks, they are one of my favourite bands...

Oh well, atleast they arent puching themselves untill every one is sick of them. i.e. Rolling Stones.

Bah... sad to see them go, but I guess they got a good run.

Also on the docket for Gorillaz before they call it quits are a video game ("It's in the early stages, but it will cost 8 million pounds to make," Albarn said) and a movie, which Albarn and Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett plan on financing themselves.

Heh interesting..

They we're pretty good, I just recently started liking them a bit more. Tis a shame, but an understandable move. I hate bands that keep making records long after their hayday. End it on a good note.

Thats too bad, I've always been a fan of them, I especially loved how they had the animated music videos, still have a few of them on my cell. I only like a few of the songs on their lastest album though, I prefer their old sound more.

As for the game, sounds interesting, but they said they hope to have it done this year? I wonder what kind of quality game we're looking at here...

AFAIK, everywhere they showed up, they were animated. The band was just an experiment for Damon. I believe he's the singer for Lucero or something, but he was writing a different kind of music, and needed an outlet, so he created the Gorillaz. He did very well in that though.

Hes the singer for Blur. It was indeed an experiment, but its a shame its come to an end.
