High Machs constitute a distinct type: charming, confident and glib, but also arrogant, calculating and cynical, prone to manipulate and exploit.
Thus are the reasons I play EVE. Luckily there ARE some people I trust. Just not alot. What do they get in return? I wont try to use them as a rung on the ladder to the top. Maybe Ill take them with me too.

I agree, its bot really complex, and I think it is important to have complexity in these types of things simply because the human mind and emotions are also complex.

The man WAS right... after all let's look at children...
Children tease/beat etc. those who are not like them... those actions are by definition, evil. As they grow up, most of them learn what is "wrong" and what is "right" and stop doing such things. Althought, most of the people in high positions are total assholes...
The saying is true: "Nice guys finish last!"
Then again.... who's to say what's wrong and right...

Incorrect!
Moral relativism is probably the greatest philosophical pitfall, if not outright dangerous. This may sound quaint, or crazy, but I do not believe that all actions are relative to societies. Societies have their own norms and rules, but overall as human beings there are certain common elements that do not change.
Consider the basic founding principle of American government: the social contract. The ruler derives power from the people and not vice versa. Relativism says "Well, if the ruler wants to kill everybody who adheres to religion A, ethnically cleanse from races B and C, and shoot anybody who disagrees, in blatant disregard for the will of the people, he's fine."
(Oh, for those who are wondering, I scored 55. Low Mach.)

See aztec this is where I think you are wrong.
We as a society would see it as being wrong, but if we were raised in the setting you made, we would simply think that life is like that. If you're raised in a society where the strongest survive, our way of life would seem wrong to you.

We as a society would see it as being wrong, but if we were raised in the setting you made, we would simply think that life is like that. If you're raised in a society where the strongest survive, our way of life would seem wrong to you.
Thus, all actions are rendered pointless. Why take a hard stance against Iran? They're just trying to beef themselves up militarily like we do all the time. Why try anybody for murder, when in X society it's tolerated under this case? (There was a case where some Middle Eastern or Asian man [I forget] killed his daughter for infidelity, but it was customary in his home country, so he was aquitted.)
Even if I'm wrong, the *best* thing we can do is take a deep breath and say "Ok, so maybe American values aren't the only ones, but they're my values, so I guess I'll go a long with them." Trying to take some sort of neutral, third-party stance just ends up in a philosophical black hole.
