Thinking about checking PS out...

Hey all, new here. You've got a nice site here. Anyway, I followed the development of PS for a long time but fell off before it was finally released. Anyway, I never got back to it but I was thinking about checking it out now. I've read some scary stuff about it being dead all ready though. So, my questions: Is Planetside dead? Should I join up? Also, how noob friendly is it right now? I'm not what you would call experienced in online play, so that last one is kind of important. Well, thanks a lot.

Its not dead, its just its changed since the old days or so im told and some older players dont like the changes, still with Reserves Program there no reason to not try it. After all its free and if you dont like it atleast u havent spent any money

I played since second Beta for two years then stopped after battle islands, if they are still called that. :) I really enjoyed it but I had computer problems and once I got them fixed I just never got back into playing again.

But I'd agree with FortunateSon, there is no reason to not try it now since it's free now.

try it out! I played through beta, but didn't like the changes that they slipped in at release so I stopped playing until a month or so ago. Regardless, I'm having a blast now.

give it a shot, get some time in the game, then join an outfit, its an entirely dif game with an organized outfit.

I agree with Obskure, he owns but anyway my on problem with the game is the battle islands. Especially Desolation before and after that brokeback stuff.i can't believe it was poplocked the other day either. :eek:
