I may be wrong about this, but the way i understand it to work is the tanks run on the warp gate power, and if i understnad it right, so long as they are withen a distance from a spehere of influance, or a gate, they work, if not, they dont.

But:
there is NO area specific dmg.
There are many many many threads on this.

that made me think, what if u took a sniper gun and shot the engine or near the fuel tank, would it be more deadly??

NO area specific dmg

Vehicles are powered by warp gates. As long as you stay onshore you will not run out of "fuel"

It seems in my opinion that the programmers were lazy when developing the damage system.. most of the well developed games have at least some individual hit system in them. Oh well, I guess a great game can't have everything. I still love it. :)

Don't have to stay in a SoI or near a warpgate to use a vehcile, them beeing powered by warpgates is a story reason for why can't fly from continent to continent.

In other words, you drive/fly your vehicle up down a continent all day whitout fear of running out of fuel.

could u bring a tank to other continents thru warpgates? And how are tanks formed, like is it like Tribes2 where u step on a pad and pick what u want or is there a garage where they are and stuff, another thing, anyone know how many tanks and stuff u can have?one more thing,do tanks disappear like if my Divison was saving up say 20-40 tanks or more would they mysteriouly disappear like in tribes2 sometimes, sorry if this was mentioned b4
sorry for all the question im jus a little curious

yes,

every base has a location that you build tanks at, it is like a garage, and so long as you have the tank building base on that island then all your bases on that island can build tanks.

yes, each person can only have 1 active vech at a time.

so i couldnt stockpile tanks and put em in a base for later use is what your saying?

MrVulcan

right
if you build a 2nd one, your 1st goes away

this is mainly for lag issues (by my understanding) since 9 million tanks on the field would be no good.

And since you can build new ones at any time, there is no real point to having a lot of them

Actually they made the CHOICE to leave out region specific damage, so it wasn't laziness. They have explained their countless reasons, and it all seems logical to me.

They have very good reasons to leave this out. If you have 3500 people per server, think of all the calculations the server would have to make in battle. This would lag horribly, therefore it was desided that region specific damage was not needed.
