disapointing games

I just bought the game The Get Away it is kinda a mix between GTA and Metal Gear Solid.

its really disapointed me because it looked cool but its impossible ! I can't even beat the first level where u need to tail gate this car but in the end it drives away so fast that I can't see its next turn and I've tried all three !!!

post some other disapointing games just so I know what not to buy:)

Project Earth is a bad one too, a friend of mine bought it cos it was a HomeWorld clone and he liked HomeWorld.

Anyway after about 5 missions he relized that all you needed to do was to kill the enemy Harvesters as soon as they left the mothership. after a few cycles you win the mission.
And if you let the harvesters get back tot he ship with any ore they build a bigass friget and kick your ass.

Homeworld was great but this game wasnt thought out very well, just a warning :)

I could really go on all day I have played thousands of games and only a few were worth playing

I just installed Hitman 2. I've had it for quite a while but never tried it out. Seems like a good game but for some reason I get no thrill out of offline games anymore, it's just not much fun to me. :p Need real people. :)

Buy that game its really fun its like GTA but requires more strategy and thinking.

Pac Man Fever, featuring 6 Sony characters I had barely heard of besides Pac-Man and Mrs. Pac-Man. Think Mario Party 1, divided by 5, take out all minigames, put in ones that require you to catch falling coins while a monkey throws anvils at you. Take out the stars, the items, and the value of coins. Then, make 20 kinds of spaces, 10 involve playing the catch the coin game. Add annoying music, and slow-paced play, and voila! BTW Mario Sunshine is the 1337 0wnag3. Don't dis my main man Mario.

Mario Sunshine was good, but I don't like how that retarded water machine was so central to the gameplay...it was like they were just grasping for a chance to show that they knew how to make a neat water effect. They need to bring back the mushroom and fire flower type powerups, man. Those were the days.

diablo2 is great - kept me busy forever. i cant think of any games that i like and have played for a long time except d2. strategy games just have impossible people to beat which is no fun. and im worrying planetside wont hold my attention.. ahh sure it will.

anyway im not sure of any disappointing games in particular but ill think of some later.

Vice city was ok... the problem with it was all the boring tutorial missions in the begining.

Diablo 2 kept me interested for about a month, right up until i hit lvl 35. then i realized i was killing the same lame monsters over and over.

i can think of two games that were disappointing for me:

Yes FF8 dissapointed the hell out of me. I sound like a stupid ass newb fanboy but im saying it anyway. FF7 0wnz all the other FF games (except one or two of the snes ones).

Hitman 2 - good game, different ways to play, too me 3 hours overall to beat

Jedi Knight 2 - ok game, i felt the power of being a jedi, took one 18 hour session to beat

GTA 3 - good game took me a day even with all the damn lagginess and crashes i had :/

Gran Turismo 3 - dissapointed me cause it has like 8 tracks and their just reversed over and over for like 100,000 possible races, that, and you cant change the colors of your cars or use stickers like previous versions

Tribes 2 - biggest pos i ever waisted my money on, they ruined the tribes name, it cant even be called tribes, the only thing that reminded me of the original were some of the weaps. Gameplay lacked speed and the simple graphics that made tribes 1 playable. I could go on forever about how tribes 2 sucks, the only thing that kept me playing it for a week were the vehicles and the bomb runs (its now selling for 9.99 at compusa btw)

EQ - Heres a scenerio, my scenerio, spend 3 years playing a game and maxing out in levels to find out there is no tech support nor is there any kind of customer service, yet find out they up your monthly gaming price so they can build expansions and have you sit in boring repetitive combat for another 10 - 15 levels...just to find out they(time after time) nerf your character to be practically useless.

Hitman 2 was one of the best games i ever played, detailed game, great graphics,shootem all or assassinate style, only downfall is that it was a short game.

Tribes 1 still owns and i still play it, have been in shifter for 4 years now and its still fun to play.

So thats some of the games i play and what i think of them.

Aliens v predators - Good single player, awesome quick (somewhat unbalanced) multiplayer.

AvP2 - Awesome first player story and gameplay, multi was so slow tho it was a let down.

Medieval : Total War - fun game to play but ai still charges my hills with my 4 groups of pikemen and 6 -7 groups of longbowmen :/

Black and White - Cool game, although my creature still doesnt where to do is business. Kinda crashes a lot too.

Red Alert and Red Alert 2 - Too me those games sucked, there was no way to pull out a bit, everything was so huge and bluky :/

Tiberian Sun - Still owns, going online and finding an ally and two people to play against...nothin beats TS when you kill off and enemy and just as you kill the other guy break your alliance and have engis cap your allies base in under 5 secs :) nothin like a backstabbin gets your heart pumpin :p

Diablo 2 - It got repetive really quick, and after i found those cheater scripts to make all my jewels and such, i quit the game :/

Independence War 2 - was a good game, very good. I fealt like i was in the story and there were lots of ships and options in it.

Max Payne - Good game 13 hours to beat, got repetitive but it was worth it, the story kicked ass and the scene where we was on some acid trip, that took some original thinking imo. Im waiting for the second.

Homeworld - for me i couldnt control half the crap out there and my destroyers always got blown to bits :/

If you like rpgs, play the old secret of mana or chrono trigger, even chrono cross was a good game. Ogre battle was a good one too, as well as Azure Dreams.

I agree FF8 was a very big disappointment. 7 was much better.

Hitman 2 was also a fun and difficult game. {IMO}

Black and White takes forever if you want it to.

I liked the motorcycles in Vice City, they were fun.

I think it took me 8+ to finish hitman 2. one of the best games Iv ever played. Cant wait for the 3rd one next year :)

...this has turned into good games...oh well, ill join in. My favorite current game is Splinter Cell, and I still play Halo, and Starcraft, Starcraft is a great game still. Worst game I've played is like simcity at this kid's house...that game was shit. Oh yeah Marathon is the shit.

I was stealthy on some of those missions, but i remember acouple where i wasnt lol. That on in like columbia where you gotta kill the fat guy in the basement? right before the jacuzzi job?...i got spotted and said screw it, i whipped out a fire axe and killed everyone i could find, including the 50 people in the main lobby...Oops!

As far as red alert goes...that game was way too up close for me, it bugged out my :/ dont get me wrong, i waited for the game to come out too. Ive been playin c&c games for years but after ra, i let that all go. I liked the idea of futuristic technology that ts had, wtf do i wanna go in the past for?? plus i could cloak my base or anything :/ so thats reason enough for me.

I still dont get why people play tribes 2 over the original, givin that most people who play t2 are n00bs to the title and never even played the original.

Cant help i beat games a lot, i get a new one about every week and i play it from the time i get home till the time i either A) beat it B)get bored and pitch it or C) its a damn long game i get some sleep and come back in the morning.

I dont hide the simple fact i have no life lol

I am impressed though. Beat Starcraft and Brood War in like 2 hours. Fun games though. Oh I found this tight game. Savage, its one of those RTS/FPS games. "Command your warriors" or "engage in battle". decent graphics, not as good as Ps's though ;)

hells yeah i played marathon 2 like 4 years after it was released and my friend gave me the cd. That game kicked ass and it was made by the people who make halo and is pretty similar to it infact i think Halo is a modern clone of it. (with tons of changes mind you). And my god, no one here paid homage to Half-Life (the original single player) now THAT game is teh 0wnage im currently playing through it for the second ime and it still rox.

Devil May Cry 2. If you compare it to the first one it really sucked. I beat it in 2 days. It just had no... style. In the first one there was all kinds of cool stuff but in the second, just no style.

OMFG! Metal Gear Solid 2. The whole time through that game I kept thinking it was gonna switch back to Snake and it never did. God, Raiden is such a weiner...what made them think he could fill Snake's shoes?! It was a good game, but that was still the biggest disappointment I can think of.
