Well we are all moved - Moving sucks ass. Although driving the bigass UHaul was fun as hell
So here we are all moved in and setup, LCDTV mounted on the wall. We go out to dinner and come back and find our HD Cable box showing some strange numbers on the LED screen. So I call comcast, they schedule a tech.
We had our old HD box from our last place in the living room so I take out the old box to hook up. We start moving the broken box and find that it is soaking wet. It turns out that there was a single leak in the ceiling. When we were out it rained, and the single drip went directly into the cable box and we never saw it until we moved it.
Hopefully the box dries out and starts working.
Moving Sucks.

Do you have the Warranty? It might just be covered (I hope for you).
It's the Cable Company***8217;s box most likely. So they'll probably just replace it for Hamma or at the very worst make him pay for the new one.

I see... you have to buy the boxes up here... Starchoice was a bitch too... 250$ for a regular box (no frills no nothing).
Ugh... I'm not coherant anymore... time for bed.

Moving does suck...and to have a key piece of your entertainment world ripped out from under you - adds salt to the wound.
With Adelphia Digital Cable, you rent the equipment. I've brought boxes back when the next generation of box comes out. Plus my dogs use the remotes as chew toys. Adelphia doesn't seem to care - they make tons of money in renting fees.

yea I just recently moved. That 3 days without video games was hell
OMA, if you're going through Western PA be careful speeding on the highways. The state troopers have really stepped it up a notch in the past few weeks and plan on enforcing hardcore all summer long.

So how far was your move from where you previously stayed?
I moved 5-6 years ago. wasn't too hard.. the move was all of 200 yards down the road. just a bigger house was needed after my mother got remarried. I move a lot of stuff for my job, so I know what it's like to move a lot of heavy shit. I get to drive the box truck though :)

God I'm good. Honestly it's the best thing you can do, little to no cost for housing can allow you to save up quicker then if you have 900$ in bills each month to pay.
I'm actually planning to do the same thing but I might be here a while... depending on where I go in life... I still have alot of maths to do before next sign up session so all's good... but I gotta make a choice soon. Either game developpement or a career in the military... I'm not sure wich I should be aiming for...
It's a bitch not knowing where you wanna go in life.
