Heh, that's almost exactly how my friends and I made a potato gun. Only we don't use compressed air as propellant because we wanted really portable so we can shoot it anywhere. We shot it over houses in downtown in a city where he lives, broke a bakery sign. We use Aqua Net Hair Spray and ignite it with an internal lantern flint lighter. I***8217;ll see if I have a few pics around.

Whole thing cost us about $20 including potatoes if I remember correctly.

The cashier at Lowe's didn't get it when we asked if they sold potatoes after she asked if we found everything ok. :rolleyes:

No but earlyer that day the guy in my pic's borther almost killed himself with a shot gun.

Here's what happened from the begining. :D

We where shooting stuff with shot guns. I told my friend's brother about how one time I took the shot out of a shell and just left the wad and everything else in the shell and shot it. Well he does it and the wad gets stuck at the choke of the barrel. The dumb ass thought, "Well, I'll put a live shell in and shoot the wad out!" :rolleyes:

I told him not to do it and I thought he put the live shell down. Well, I turn my back and hear him shoot and screem, "Ah crap!"

I turn around and see the top barrel of the double barrel shot gun is all blown out like what you see in cartoons when someone puts their fingure in the end of a barrel and someone shoots.

No one got hurt but he distroyed that gun. So we took that home and made a double barrel sawed off shot gun out of it. It now has two 6 inch barrels. :twisted:

We shot it the next day. That thing is loud! And kicks like a mule.:lol:

We nick named it "The Hog Leg."

You can do the same thing trying to shoot out a stuck cleaning patch, or bore brush.

You mean he has to pay $250,000 in fines and go 10 years to jail just for stupidly ruining his own shotgun but recycling it?

He turned into a short-barreled rifle, which includes sawed-off shotguns. This is one due to the barrel length and being able to be fired from the shoulder. You have to get a license for that particular weapon, it works the same way for obtaining a machine gun or suppressor. Since it is an unlicensed weapon thats where the penalties come into play.
