As a game addition, what about allowing freindly fire in the VR(live fire no grief) so we can have group battle training and use it like real VR. IT would atleast allow vehicle practice outside of combat. And it would make it easier for people to show their fellow mates what they want to without fear of people slacking off as much. I'm sure you can accomplish alot more training in there than you can with what little you can do in sanc.

It would do alot for lightning and other vehicle skills in the game. I imagine that could do alot for it also.

And on top of that you could take away the benefit to gain actual enemy vehicles in the game and devert it to access to them in the VR for training purposes. Then you can gain those conts to get a more practical edge in combat if your empire or outfit gets together to practice with them.

It would give you alot more room to practice advanced tactics and try out new techniques. Not to mention if you allow some other cont to give access to weaponry in VR also it would allow alot of other training for in base tactics if there was a place in the VR to simulate bases. Maybe a new similator with changable access to allow a group or groups together and select a base type and use it for simulations. Like the Star trek VR. I would allow it multiple instances though so people can make multiple rooms so they don't get caught up bickering with other poeple for use. You could allow password access or something and room names with inside controls on the bases types and who controls it.(possibly a new CR or outfit leader or rank benefit) Though i imagine for practical purposes you would have to only allow so many at a time to exist, but if you don't it could stimulate a whole new lv of play in the game again.

They talked about something like this before, it was a type of arena where teams would compete. They wanted everyone to focus on the enemy though, not each other.

I figure it would be better in the VR with only allies so they can feel safe and practice on trying and developing more efficient playing styles. I figure if you remove the stress of death from people who really want to kill you you can try to get better more easily to try stuff in the actual fighting. The on thing the game lacks now is out of battle training. The only way since release to try to develope fighting skills or better group work is still to do it in battle. Which means you have to do it at the expense of the fight if you are that bad. So I figure just for that it could be good for helping people show other people better ways to play. And help them get a feel for different playing styles. Even ones that are not currently being used in the game. (assuming you can get people together to adequestly simulate the intended situation as the other side enough to demonstrate properly through "real" fighting.)

Sounds like a good idea but, with the hacking going on right now I doubt that we'll see new content right now. And such an idea would take forever to implement at the current pace the dev team is working at.

i posted an idea on the PSForums about somthing like this, because the "training" sucks and is more of a testing area.
go check the PSForums for the thread "What About Training" by HolyRoller .

I got shot down big time cause those children dont want AI in the game ....

This is a great idea, and the game needs an actua ltraining area, not an area to shoot things that arent armed and dont move.

You don't even need AI to do it. You just need a set up to let us fight each other. (hence the greif lock removal.) Yea it would be fun especially if we had to fight for the benefit on sanc. 8)

I think i read it. There are too many people too riled up. There will always be enough of some group of them to shoot down any thread.

Well that wasnt that bad. Half agreed half disagreed.
