Here goes,
I'm sure alot of us train... some better then others. I for one suck at it and if I don't have anyone to guide me or motivate me, I usually fail at it miserably.
I'm sure someone will be able to awnser our questions so let's ask away.
1. Does biking actually do anything? I know it builds up muscles in my legs, but does it do anything for cardio or would running be better in general?
2. What the best way to develop strength in the hands?
3. Is there a better way to develop upper body strength to do push-ups and the such?
4. Sit-ups. Do they only build up the abs or do they actually make you lose waist?
5. Best way to get rid of hard to get places with exercises? (Neck-fat, sides and man tits (not that I have any but I'm looking for a way to make me lose the fat that covers up a potential jaw-line))
More to come. Feel free to awnser and make your own questions.

1. Yes, biking does things, its cardio.
2. Grips
3. i dont understand...
4. they will make your wasit line smaller, because muscle burns fat, sit ups creat muscle.
5. Just exercise, and eat right. I had a double chin a while back, I just ate better and did some exercise, and it went away. It will go away with time.
On an other note, I really enjoy circuit training, its where you do 15 min cardio, about 6 or 7 different weights for different groups, for 1-3 min depending on your level of fittness for each weight. Then finish off with 10 min cardio. What I have been doing recently is 15 min cross trainer, bunch of weights at 2 min each, and 10 min on the rowing machine.

I try to swim a quarter-mile every day and do some push-ups, that's about it, but swimming is fun. :P

Sit ups dont burn fat unless your doing ALOT of them at a time. Doing 10 situps 5 times will make your waist LARGER than it is because it will put muscle under your fat. Muscle does NOT burn fat. If you want to burn fat you have to do alot of the same exercises at once. 50 is better than 5 sets of 10 when burning fat.
Swimming is by far the best cardio you can get.

Jerk it. Seriously. I do. And I have freakishly muscular hands.

Punching your self repeatedly in the face does wonders to the dexterity of your hands too.

I heard if you throw yourself in front of a bus, you get a sixpack. You should test this theory.

I just bought a bowflex. Now I never have to leave the house to get all my work done.
I stopped going to the gym about a month ago because I ALWAYS see my history teacher walking around naked in the locker room. Hes incredibly intimidating because hes 300 lbs of muscle and is the football coach :\

You have no idea what a couple simple things will do to some people...
* Lay off the Crap Food
Fast Food, sugary stuff etc. Just not eating these is a nice piece. Instead of buying those frozen pizza rolls, get some Delli Meat or fruit.
* Don't eat so much
Just leave a little bit extra of every meal, your apetite will start to shrink. Waiting a bit longer once hunger hits you helps too.
* Don't be Lazy
Park farther away from the store, do more physcial things around the house or work if you can.
* Excercise
For some people it's tough to jump into a gym and start pumpin iron. Start do'in small things at home, like you would in gym class. Sit ups, push ups, running. Most people want to be able to do more once they've done it for a few weeks.
* Matabolizm
Some peopel are just naturaly pugy, theyve ate right their whole life and excercise occasionally. Boosting that metabolism will help trim'ya.
* Don't get high so you can spell correctly on teh internet

one reason I haven't been active on the forum lately is because im currently working on getting in shape.
Im bulking up and right now im at 160lbs (143lbm, 8% bf). Im still kinda skinny but I have more definition and im still working on it. None the less im in the best shape of my life.
Currently im working on a 12 week program. I eat 3000 calories a day of good carbs and protien. I follow a strict diet plan every day. I eat 6 meals a day of whole weat bread, chicken breast, eggs, brown rice, cottage cheese, etc.
Oh just so you know guys. YOU CANT LOSE FAT AND BUILD MUSCLE AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!! Thats like trying to sit and stand at the same time. Not possible. If your bf (body fat) is over 15%. You need to do fat loss before hitting the wieghts! Otherwise you'll just continue to get fatter. Plus you can do all the ab crunches you want but you wont be able to see your abs until you lower your bf percentage down below 10.
So yeah if you want I can give the website from where I got the program.
ITS NOT EASY! I eat the same foods every day at the same time. I have to get atleast 8 hours of sleep a night. I've had to turn down partying and eating all the foods I love. But it's worth it at the end!
I'll post pics of my progress when Im done my program. Currently im on week 3 so I'm not done till August.
EDIT: Finally read all the post
You can't build desent muscle mass unless you do free wieghts! Bow flexes are horrible! Sit ups alone wont do much. You need to work all the muscles in your body and thats exactly what free wieghts do! Im talking about bench presses, shoulder presses, squats, dead lifts. No machines! Except for a burnout set after you use a free wieght!
You can't spot fat loss. There aren't any excersises that get rid of fat in certain spots. Fat comes off like layers. Where ever you started to put fat on the most will dissapear last most likely. usually the stomach area will be the last spot to lose fat where as compared to your arms may lose fat quickly.
Don't focus on upper body strength. Im sick of going to the gym and seeing all the retarded who have arms bigger than thier legs. They look fucking ridicuous and only show what low self esteem they have. Legs are so impotant to work on. They are the biggest muscles in your body.

Well, it's done I'm signed up at a gym. Going with two buddies of mine 5 days a week (for an hour to two hours per session) and I'm eating more healthy. On top of that most of my movement is done by bike... I'll start with cardio first. My second priority is muscle mass.
Cardio should make me lose weight easily enough.

Remember, dont over work your self... going 5 times a week for 2 hours each time is a bit excessive.I go for 1 hour 3 times a week, and that works really well.

5 times a week is too much. You'll over train yourself and won't see results. I only work out 3 times a week. Each session roughly 75 mins.
Monday: Shoulder,chest triceps,abs
Wednesday: Legs, abs
Friday: Back, biceps, forearms, abs
If your doing fat loss than you should bike or jog for 20-30 mins every other day first thing in the morning. Do it on an empty stomach after you wake up. Once your done your cardio for the morning, you than eat breakfast. And limit your carbs roughly 4 hours before going to bed!
