Hi guys. I've been playing with a sound pack I made for about a month now. I'm having alot more fun with many of the cheesy original sounds replaced with real-world ones. Sounds like a real battle.
I have one problem tho, that irritating striker lock-on sound is not replacing. I am using the following entries taken from 3dsound.idx:
fp_phoenix_searching.wav
fp_phoenix_lock2.wav
Unfortunately, I don't think these are the entries that PS uses for this weapon, as my changes don't change the striker in-game. I know they are labeled as phoenix, but there is no striker lock-on or searching entry. Also the location in the 3dSound.wav that the phoenix entries refer to is the in-game sound that you hear.
So I'm thinking somewhere the striker lock-on is redefined, but I can't find it in any of the patch .idx files.
I was wondering if anyone here has knowledge of which entry the striker uses for it's lock-on sound, and where that entry is located in the various .idx files. It would help alot. Once I get this a bit more refiled, I'll be releasing the sound pack.
