Messed up graphics with Radeon

I have a ATI Radeon 9550 graphics card installed in my computer. And this is the problem I am getting:

Ive tried un-installing and reinstalling the driver, several downgrades to the driver, and Ive tried upgrading the driver to its current version (6.5). I have no idea what the problem could be the problem. If anyone has any idea what is goin on. could you please help me.

Dont use the current Radeon drivers. I have a X300, I upgraded it, and none of my games work right, and neither does planetside.

Also had the same problem. Running the game in windowed-mode seems to be a great temporary fix though. (At least it works for me.)

I have tried re-installing the game, direct x & my graphics driver, but it's still fucked up, guess there's nothing left to do but quit the game, too bad I already paid for a month of play time.

Thats not true there are three things left to do.
start menu > run > dxdiag
buy a new video card
or dont use current drivers

i had radeon x800xtx n got ps reserve n the game started messin up jus like in ur pics! exact same thing, n den i jus deleted da game.. waz sad but owell

n now i jus recently got x1900xtx n then got reserves n sme thing happened!!
i waz liek WTFF!?!? n den i looked at sum forumz n found out how 2 fix dis glitch... basically all u need 2 do is edit this thing in notepad

go in ur PS main directory n find this file called 'engine3d_options.ini'

open it with notepad and find where it says 'use_managed_vbs'

follow that line and ull c it says 'false' jus change it to true, remember to keep the spacing jus hilight it and type 'true'

worked 4 me! n now i bought the game :-D

Dear Fellow PSUer,

I have the solution for you.

I previously had a Radeon x800xtx and when I tried to play PlanetSide Reserves, I had the same problems as you and decided to delete the game and give up.

I recently bought a x1900xtx and when I tried to play PlanetSide Reserves, I had the same problems as you, again, this time I didn't give up and looked at some forums and found a solution.

What you have to do is, go to your PlanetSide directory and find a file called "engine3d_options.ini" and open it with Notepad (or any plain text editor) and find a the entry "use_managed_vbs", it should say "false". To fix the problem, change the "false" to "true" (without quotes). Make sure the spacing is kept the same.

This fixed my problem and I bought the game. :D

I have the exact same problem..

I have a dualcore and a ASUS EAX Radeon 9600 PRO.

Here's an interesting new bit of data tho:
If you run FRAPS (the recorder) when you hit record, the problem disappears. The framerate drops from 80 to 30, but thepolygons return. I suppose this means the game is running too fast? Anyway, I tried setting it to 30 fps, but that didn't work.
