I was just wondering what everyone's opinion on which AV BFR (Pilot gun) has better anti-air potential; the NC machine gun or the VS twin energy bolts?

I'm ruling out the Terran dual 75mms because they travel so slow through the air they are clearly not good at anti - air.

The VS bolts seem to be the fastest but the NC machine gun has a very high RoF so it also seems like it could be good against Reavers and Vultures etc.

Which one do you guys think is better against air units, VS AV BFR or NC AV BFR?

P.S. Yes I realize that each empire has a specific anti-air pilot gun for their BFR, however I'm only concerned with how you guys think the AV weapons compare on their anti-air capabilities?

Well, I'm just a reservist, but I was thinking, from what I've seen in the field, in terms of autocannons, wouldn't those massive TR Miniguns be the best AA weapon? I mean, they spit out a huge amount of rounds and pretty much kick ass... Never tried to use them AA-wise, even in the VR-shooting range, though...

AA for air
AI for softies

and yes he sais he knew that, was just asking what was secon best.

I would say the TR chainguns are fairly decent at short range, but i prefer the NC anti tank machines guns for med to longer range. good damage per shot and refire rate
