So I've actually manage to save up 2k dollars now. But im beginning to get impatient. I want to start playing some new games tonight and thought of waiting even longer on getting a new desktop and going ahead and get a 360 now.

Is it worth it in the long run or will I be kicking myself later on? I've been wanting a new PC for sometime now, and im afraid im only buying the 360 just outta sheer boredom.

How does xbox live compare to online computer games?

Go for a new PC, or at the least, wait for the PS3 to come out. I think youll regret it if you get a 360 instead of a PC

Hmmm... waste 400 dollars on an xbox, waste 600 dollars on a PS3, or put the money towards a new computer.

This really should be a no brainer.

Go for the PC!

One main reason I have yet to buy a 360 is because there is no games at this point that really scream out to me, "Take me into your hands and play me like I've never been played before!"

$2000? Go for a PC. With that kind of cash, you can build a pretty stout rig.

PC. I have a 360. It's all kind of sex in a box, but PC > 360.

Both. $2000 will get you a great PC and a 360.

Good point. I change my opinion. I'd make a kick ass PC and if you still have enough left over for the 360 get that too.

Or... you can keep adding the $2000 and let it build interest. Start saving for you retirement, because there won't be much if any Social Security left for us.

Save up, PC's are more useful ;)

yeah my friend just talked me outta getting a 360. Telling me that i'd need to get a HD t.v. which would probably cost me nearly 2000 dollars.

Looks awesome without HD, looks awesome with, you don't need HD.

Thats the BIGGEST misconception of next-gen stuff. Its still the same graphics as you would find on an HD set, just at a higher resolution.

Yeah I can't count how many time I've heard complaints from friends or just over hearing people in stores about how they hate that they "have to get an HDTV" to play the new consoles.

Again why?

There are going to be compatability issues, security issues, and something could be become horribly fucked up. Within the launch window.

PC. I would get a PC. I have a 360, and hardly play it, I have a mediocre computer and its played too much. The slow down though on the 360 sucks pretty bad at times... I mean, Quake and Burnout shouldn't lag that bad...

What inf is trying to imply is that there's no reason to spring for vista until you really have to.
