Ivan... i'm in pittsburgh and insanely bored.... what/who do you people do for fun.

Also, traffic at the Squirrel Hill Tunnel sucks when you have to pee and are trapped inside the tunnel.

You should try the Lincoln tunnel, in New York City! or even the Holland Tunnel! There isn't a time when they aren't packed. :) I hate being stuck in a tunnel, in traffic.

What!?! No one ever told you that Pittsburgh is boring? Well let me be the first then...

Pittsburgh is boring. :D

In all honesty, there isn't really much to do if you're under 21 and can't go to the clubs or bars. There's always the malls/shopping areas. Check out the South Side, East Carson St. to be more exact. Station Square is a good place to visit. Check out Oakland and the Strip. Get a hotdog at the ***8220;Original Hot Dog Shop.***8221;

Ride the Monongahela (***8220;Mon***8221;) Incline and or the Duquesne Incline. They're always an amusing thing if you***8217;re from out of town.

There***8217;s the National Aviary on the North Side. Carnegie Science Center right next to Heinz Stadium on the North Shore. Carnegie Museum of Natural History and Carnegie Museum of Art in Oakland. Umm Kennywood and Sand Castle are fun too. :)

Umm that***8217;s all I can think of off the top of my head. I***8217;m sure more will come to me after I post this.

If someone notices you aren***8217;t from Pittsburgh they might say, ***8220;Yinz aren***8217;t from Picksbugh n***8217;at are ya***8217;s?***8221; Don***8217;t be alarmed it***8217;s not a foreign language.

***8220;Yinz***8221; is Pittsburghese for ***8220;you all***8221; or the south***8217;s ***8220;y***8217;all.***8221; "N'at" is "and that." There are more local words or slang and we Pickburghers are very proud of how we talk. :D

Edit: Oh and about the Squirrel Hill "tube"(tunnel) don't you just love how you could be going 65 mph on a highway, start to go around a bend and then all of a sudden everyone comes to a complete stop to go through the tube? Squirrel Hill tubes are the worst. Forbes and Liberty tubes aren't as bad.

Edit 2: Oh if you ask for directions, 3 out of 5 time you might here, "yinz can't git dere from here" or "You can't get there from here."

So get a map or if you know someone from around here have them take you places. :)

I take it back Ivan, Oakland kicks ass.

I went to a dorm party last night (woot!) and you're right about the Hot Dogs, I had already tried one of them before posting.

College is going to kick ass. Now when I move out here you better come visit me.

I guess growing up around here it's boring. Sort of a been there done that thing. Oh, you have to go to Primanti Brothers in the Strip District or on Carson St. and get a "Sammich" (Sandwich ).

Side note, stay away from Homewood. And be careful on "Norside" (North Side) around the Mexican War streets.

No.

In 1848 General William Robinson, Jr. plotted out the Mexican War Streets immediately following his return from the Mexican-American War, naming the streets after the war's battles and generals.
