After talking a little bit with Hamma, I've decided to start posting more over here. Why? Because this was my first home before I found a place with -CDL-. It's been over 3 years now and I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that, no matter what game we play as a guild/outfit/clan, I'll remain a loyal member to -CDL-. (and to those who poo-poo -CDL-, get yourselves a life)
What am I playing now? (I'll probably get banned for this from Hamma)
Right now I'm leading a World of Warcraft Horde guild on Twisting Nether called the Dragonwolf Clan. We're beginning to get some higher levels into our guild so that we can start to do end-game instances as a guild, rather than an alliance of guilds we've been doing. We're beginning to farm LBRS to get the key for UBRS and I can realistically see us beginning weekly 20 man raids into ZG and AQ within the next month. Probably too slow for most people, but being that's the price you get when your recruiting policy is quality before quantity. We've had a few hiccups along the way, but that's always to be expected. As Hamma is want to say; WoW = drama. But I am glad to say that what I've had to deal with in the game pales in comparison to other guilds on the server. I've got a bunch of great divisional officers over there that help me run things and I'm enjoying being the "bad guys". Evil will always triumph, because good is dumb.
What game(s) am I looking forward to playing this year?
None. I'm pissed that both Quake Wars: Enemy Territory and Huxley have been pushed back to next year. Though that gives me time to upgrade my PC. (A64 3200+, GeForce 6600GT, 2GB PC3500 Ram, MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum) With the recent release of Conroe I'm probably going to wait until the beginning of the year for my next upgrade. I'll probably give this PC to my wife so she can (hopefully) enjoy some of the games I play.
What game(s) am I looking forward to playing?
Quake Wars and Huxley. I absolutely LOVED Planetside when it came out; diversified ways of assaulting bases, hot dropping on towers, being a sneaky ass bastard and blowing up gens and bases to pull the enemy off the front lines. All of that was fun. When they introduced BFRs, that was the end for me. If I wanted to play with robots, I'd get one of those Rock'em-Sock'em robots and play with myself.
Soooo, what's been happening with me?
As some of you know, I've got a little 18 month old named Kendra. She is definitely the apple of my eye.

The pic is from about a year ago. I'd post a more recent one, but I've got all of Kendra's pics upstairs on my wife's PC, and it's currently down. Anyway, she's adorable and my wife and I couldn't be more proud of her.
Also, as some know, I was diagnosed with para-esophageal hernia about a month and a half ago. What the hell is para-esophageal hernia? Well, at some point in my life, my entire stomach decided to head north and push 90% above my diapragm. Both surgeons I talked to said that this was life threatening. Not immediately life threatening, but more along the lines of "I don't want you to schedule this surgery 9 months from now." So, after talking with my family, I decided to get it done sooner rather than later.
I had the surgery on the 13th of July and spent about 6 days in the hospital. It sucked. They made an incision from my breastbone down to my stomach. Inside my surgeon and his team wrestled my stomach back down through my diaphragm and positioned it back where it should be. The surgery took 3 hours, when it usually takes only about an hour. That's how much they had to do with my stomach. I remember being wheeled into the surgery at 1pm and waking up with my wife sitting next to me at 8pm that same day. She said that I was ok and the surgeon said everything went according to plan. I was on some intense pain meds so I really didn't feel anything til the following day when I finally got my bearings. I had a tube going from my nose down to my stomach. And, because the hospital is a cruel mistress, the tube was clear. So I saw EVERYTHING that was coming out of my stomach going up through my nose and into a container behind my bed (thank God). It was also very uncomfortable. I'm making my recovery at home and am off work for the next couple of weeks. I've got staples in my belly (about 20 or so) that'll be removed on August 1st. I'd put a pic of my belly up, but I'm afraid hose who have a weak consitution would be permanently 'grossed out'.
Good news is that I've lost 20 pounds! Yeah. Screw John Bastau. You want me to get in shape? Cut me open like you're gutting a fish, rip 20 pounds of fat from me and take your Craftsman Staple Gun and put me back together again. Pain? I don't know the meaning of it!
So, thus ends my [OMG WHERE'S SENTROSI BEEN] thread.
