So this past weekend Jen and I got to borrow some of my mom's friends jet ski's and we had a blast. Those things fly
So it's official, we are buying them for next summer.

When I was like 7 I would go with my parents to their friends' house out by Lake Huron. I would ride their jet-skis, which was awesome, except I was so small that when we hit waves my forhead would come crashing down on the steering column.
Then I got to drive one with some guy, and I did a super sharp turn and he went FLYING off of the back. Good times.

Theres nothing quite like cruising down the river at 60 mph.

Yeah man. jet ski's kick ass.
My aunt and uncle just bought one. And dude, the best is taking it through the inlet into the ocean.
Tough navigation through the inlet but the best time of your life.

I wish I lived near the ocean...
I surfed last year and loved it... didn't do any jetski thought, I plan on doing some as soon as I can. I'm so getting a house near water when I have the money.

I prefer wave runners, those things are insanly fun in the ocean. You can get ALOT of air off some waves.
*For htose that dont know the diffrence, a wave runner has you standing*
*Edit* - Woops this is Peace at his house

Yeah they do. Last month me and the wife were tooling around on them in the gulf. It was sweet.

+1 for wave runners.
If you know how to ride one properly, you can hit a wave coming towards you and launch them. You can also hit the water nose first and dive under.

Out of curiosity, what does a jetski/waverunner cost?

Indeed they're awesome. I've got two 4-stroke 3-seaters and they rock!

I'm not sure which we would go for.. anyone who drives them allot have any preference?
We are gonna get his and hers because I know if we get one we will fight over it  It works out too because my mom just got a new truck and gave us her blazer so we will be able to tow them.
You can take it up the river right up to the ocean here. I prefer the sit down style, stand up is to much work. :p

Doesn't mean it's better if it's cheaper. Hamma needs speed! YARRR! Or else how is he going to terrorize the south seas with his wife?

I was talking more to Jaged, and I didn't say it was better. If I was trying to indicate anything, it's that it might be a good starter.

They are great to rent at the beach. Don't think they'd be worth buying though.

Normally I would agree, but we are so near to places to have fun on them that it's worth it. Plus we know people who have boats docked so we can just pull up for a bit and hang out. :D

If we end up buying two at one time we probably wont be getting the most expensive one's :p
