It breaks down like this:
TR Marauder - A 3-man buggy. It has a 75mm Chaingun in front and a GroundPounder grenade launcher in the back.
NC Enforcer: A 2-man buggy - driver and gunner. It has a FireBird Rocket Launcher.
VS Thresher: A 2-man buggy - driver and gunner. It has a Flux Cannon, which does less damage than a 75mm Chaingun, but fires faster.

Except that the Vanu buggy can strafe. None of the others can.

So now Vanu has the weapons with a higher rate of fire?

It strafes, is most likely the fastest, and they never said the damage over time was lower, just that it fired more shots that were each less powerful then one 75mm shot.
Doesn't sound gimped to me.

In a follow-up post, the Sporkmeister said that the TR's "75mm chaingun" thing is a "synaptic misfire". The actual size is 12mm.

You can giggle all you want, us Vanu will straf circles around you, destroy you, and if your friends show up and we cant handle it we will dive off over a small lake/river/cliff and leave you in the dust or lookin for a bridge.

I think the vanu advantages are going to be more on the order of projectiles that always go in a straight line. NC and TR (the tanks in particular) have to worry about arcing their shots to hit their targets.
Strafing will be a big defensive bonus, no doubt about it. But on the offensive side, the lack of an arc should improve accuracy, particularly of newer players.

Negative. 'Cause when the Reaver comes by, all of the above ground vehicles (except the NC) RUN. Including snipers on foot :).

Why isn't there an arc on VSweapons? Did someone say there wasn't?

Is that just Empire toting or is there a reason? Heh, not sure on that one so I decided to ask

Well if it is a beam weapon, and from what I have seen in the videos (which all lack the Mag-Rider, so don't beat me down for saying this), beams have no arc of fire, and suffer very little, if at all, from gravity. I would guess the main weapon on the Vanu tank, since it is empire specific, would also be some form of beam weapon, although I could see something like a plasma cannon as well (man that would be a cool thing to see....). Either way, I doubt it will be much of an arc fire weapon.

I've *heard* the tank will have more of a plasma-like ball that it lobs. Also, I forget where that was and I don't feel like looking right now

Damnit..no one said my answer was convienent. Also, very little minfo on the Vanu's energy weapons. Not beams though

On a side note, if we are being realistic, I doubt plasma would be highly effected by gravtity since it is just highly ionized gas. I think plasma would have more trouble with the wind then gravity :D

This might have been answered b 4 but what tanks got most range,id think the vanguard cause bigger cannon, also wht size it TR tanks cannons

Doubt there will be anny real range difference between the tanks..
As for the Prowler (TR TANK) heres what we know
It has 2 100MM cannons, 2 12MM chainguns. room for 3 people. It's also supposed to have the heaviest armor.
btw kiwi, not all plasma has the consistency of gas just like not all liquids has the consistency of water.

Water is a very special case actually, but a majority of liquids follow a specific sets of rules, and plasma actually follows a stricter set of rules so it less common for them to behave oddly. Then again, plasma ain't as common as liquids either. :D

Yup, the wery idea of plasma weapons is moot... turning plasma into a weapon is next to impossible annyways... well unless you fire a slug whit a wire after it at someone and shot a spark thrue it to create a lightning bolt.. need a high power high volrage generator to create the spark and well theres no sure way to predict the impact point, not to mention that the lighting will chose the path of least resistance.... getting enough energy to be directed at the guy you're shooting at would be hard also.
Magnetic fields won't really work either, they become to weak to fast....
The only possible weapon I could see would be a fusion reactor
which deliberately had a gap or two in its neutron shield,
which would then allow you to generate a "beam" of energetic
neutrons that would kill off any life in its immediate path
from radiation poisoning. Course a chunk of uranium would do the same thing....
Tho, there is a plasma based weapon out and thats the H-bomb..
Then again, this game will happen in the future so using present physics is kinda pointless.
edit: figured i'd add, now that i think of it, ball ligthning is plasma.. so looks like you get to play whit balls of lightning as a VS kiwi :p

I told you ball lightning should be in the game. :D Would be awesome to boil water with it... :drools:

In the snow terrain you should be able to through snowballs. You know, just to piss people off or get their atteneion

Snowballs would be funny
Maybe you could even build snowmen to draw fire. (jk)
I think it would be cool if you could cause an avalanche or maybe shatter the ice over a frozen lake and cause any of the poor saps sitting on it to take a dip.

Snoballs would only be useful if you could make them "yellow". The enemy would be laughing too much to aim.
