Help w/ Reformating

K, So my home PC is absolutly skull fucked. Time to finally wipe the thing out. Well I cant find my windows instalation disc. I do however have the CD key for it. Is there anyway I can get a windows instal disc without having to pay for a new CD key?

I'm sure one of your friends will have the disc. As long as you have a CD key, it won't discriminate with a disc. I just reformatted my computer last weekend and what I found was that, since my computer is 5 years old, I couldn't use a newer Windows XP disc, with service pack 2. I don't know why, but I needed a disc with Service Pack 1 on it. So if your computer is a few years old, you may or may not have the problem I did.
