New Planetside Article (some new info)

Ok, I just copied my this page from my friends PC Gamer Mag. I'll scan it in a sec, having some difficulties with it as of now. They said that Vanu technology was implanted to revive people, wtf. Also they said that the game originaly had something called apartments, and some other stuff. I'll post it when I get my scanner up, BTW its in black and white. Just wondering if any of the l33t whores have heard of these so called apartments. Also Dave was under the impression that infl. suits could use rifles. That must have been modified later on.

i heard about the aparment thing and i think it still gonna happen,what it is u start off with a shitty apartment where u can spawn in and some other stuff but as u gain rank u get nicer apartment,plz do not ask me where i saw this,ive read so much stuff i cannot remeber anymore,mabey one of those DEVs who know everything can help

This article said they removed it...soundz like a waste of pixels. I'm gonna be too busy picking off enemies with my bolt driver to worry about an apartment.

The game was originally more of a three corporation battle then a three empire battle (more of an urban type of game, I think somewhat like Anarchy Online), which is where the Apartments thing came in.

Also, it is the alien species technology that is used by the fluff (background story), and I believe the aliens are called the Vanu, the Vanu in game are just those who use and follow what they believe to be their beliefs.

Actually it was going to be 4 warring factions...man this game has changed alot. Urban warfare is tight, but right now it is going pwn.

Yeah, apartments were once one of the listed features for the game, but the devs decided it was a waste of game space(in game space), waste of game size(MB/GB), and just were hard to code into the game.

They did say they might do it later as part of an expansion...

PS won't have apartments, but they will have lockers, which serve the same purpose. Only you can't go into them or have furniture. who cares about furniture anyway? <<< this is a rhetorical question btw.
