Money one is the best.

So, the PC's qualities are the ability to distribute money, go to work (and not get high), pirate music, and go skiing with girls?

Those vids are just as stupid as the mac commercials :p

Didn't find anything funny in there - what exactly are they trying to prove? :p

As did I. It tried to show the PCs business usefulness and the money maker. Personally Id show the Macs weakeness with PC games, thatd convince alot more people IMO

While we're at it, we can talk about system stability and security as well, I'm sure that would win many more people for the PC cause.

And before someone says it, Vista does not have security. If you honestly beleive that then you're a crackpot. Vista has a scape-goat program microsoft that lets the company say "Oh, well we put the security in there, its not our fault you had to turn it off because it kept asking you if you really wanted to turn your computer on."

You know what I like best about PC's?

They don't come with a container ship of Ego.

here here

Infernus you can try all you want but Mac's still do not beat PC's in gaming.

Sure you can play - but the average gamer doesn't want to jump through 30-50 hoops just to load their favorite game. Add on top of that they are paying in some cases double what they would pay for a PC. Then you've got all sorts of apps and emulators running in the background who knows what that does for performance.

If Macs were as popular as Windows and PC they would have just as many if not more holes being probed by hackers. People don't like windows so they create viruses and seek holes. The same would be true if Macs were in the PC's boat. With great distribution comes great criticism.

PC's are still better than Mac's at 90***37; of what is out there, mac's have their niche still and that remains in video editing and graphic artists. But it will be a loooong time if ever before Mac's come anywhere near PC's in general usefulness. I work with both all the time - and I would still take a PC over a Mac any day.

Those commercials are still dumb though. :p

Really, I'm neutral in this.

I prefer a PC because I like having a bit more control, and I don't want to fiddle with compatibility(I need CAD and stuff). I also really hate itunes, and single button mice.

Macs are really great for people that just need a computer to surf the web and type. That's good for alot of people. Especialy those are often people that are mostly concerned with how thier computer/mp3player/laptop looks. They really do appeal to our vain side.

Macs and PC's use the same hardware now, so there is no huge performance gap in anything, the virtual machines work very well(because they don't have to emulate a hardware instruction set) so it's not hard to run your windows programs, but they cost extra bucks. I'm not gonna spend the extra bucks.

Windows isn't that secure, but Mac, like linux (it's the same as the FF vs. IE battle) is mainly secure though obscurity. The best security is always a user that knows what the fuck he's doing.

Yea it makes no difference to me really either. Mac has come a long way and is certainly much better than they were 6 or 7 years ago

Ive played around with OS X several times; Im thinking about getting a standard Macbook as my senior graduation present. 2 Ghz C2D, 2GB of RAM, 120 GB HDD.

I dont really need the Macbook Pro; I would only be pretending to play games in Windows. The underclocked 128mb X1600 is a joke.

Good College laptop, that (hopefully) but the time my folks order it Leopard will be out and the Intel GMA 950 can run Vista.

Macs are nice, windows is nice. Mac is flashy when opening and closing folders/windows. Windows is not. Problem solved.
