Wow, this is taking a long time to download, I started waiting in line at 2:00pm, the 45 minute wait lasted 2.5 hours and it's about 60***37; done right now, at about 6:50.

For the past hour and a half I've averaged probably about 40-50 kb/s.

180 megs of 1.17 gigs complete! Yay! :mad:

After 8.5 hours, the download finished. I started up the install, and after a few minutes of file unpacking, I get this little gem:

Woot just finished the two missions and one skirmish. This game fucking owns. And, unlike Supreme commander my computer doesn't melt at the thought of running it. Sold!

Anyhow... I started that BitTorrent last night... I'm at 80% today.

This sucks balls. Fuck FilePlanet and their corrupt download. Why the fuck doesn't their software do a checksum on the files it downloads?

One thing that bugs me about the game is that the infantry don't run for cover when under fire. They just stand there.

Although i've probably been spoiled by CoH. Which I think is better than this game personally, although C&C3 still seems like it's okay.

I just prefer COH better A.I., destructable maps, and sector capturing gameplay.

Eh I just agree that CoH and its engine are awesome and I can't wait for an expansion or another game based on it.

this game is nothing special. It is just like the others with better graphics. Worth waiting until the price drops. There is no way I would spend full price on this game. It could have been a lot better.

yea I went and preordered the kane edition because of bonus dvd of behind the scenes footage and bloopers. thats worth the extra 10 alone.

I like this game a ton better then supreme commander. Something about it just feels right to me.

Supreme Commander campaign missions are fucking long.

I think the problem with supreme commander in my mind is this. In the skirmish modes it takes too much time and resources to upgrade along the tech tree. That is something I hate in RTSs. Balancing resources between defending your base now, and getting further along the tech tree so you wont get steamrolled when your opponent gets up there.

C&C has a much shorter and more accessible tech tree. I like that.
