The night time apperantley isnt night time just darker than day kinda like a constant dusk :D

Night isn't pitch black, you can still see quite a bit. All the night screenshots show the darkest its gunna get.

im kind of hoping the day to night ratio is like 2:1 because, and this sounds weird but night time for some reason gets me in a bad mood i guess im just a day person. (yet i sleep til noon when ever given the chance...)

Im going on previous experience here - so it may not happen in planetside, but I'll be very suprised if it doesn't - day and night will not happen in real time, it will happen in game time, scaled down. For example 1 hour game time = 1 minute real time. So night could last only 8 minutes (this is an example, its probably going to be more than 8 mins!).

It wouldnt be good if you could only play the game for an hour or so each day and only at the same time and every time you did it was dark (or light)!

But this is just speculation - based on previous MMOs.
