Well you know that towers can be captured and that currently there are three different kinds.


1. Sniper Towers- 5 stories
2. Gun Towers - 3 stories
3. Air Towers- 3 stories

well what if a outfit captured one of these things i think that they should be able to make it a small base of operations and have a logo and everything painted at the side or something. If its randomly captured by a group of outfits then it should be controlled by the Faction. That would be cool, bonuses and stuff, like having a extended radar view for ur whole squad as long as its in the same continent. Add more if u please.

Except for the fact that when The NC drops on your outfit's tower and jacks it, there will be no base of operations. This idea counteracts the basis of the game. The basis is to have a constantly changing battlerground where nowhere is secure for long. The sanctuary already is a base of operations, with all buildings. I see no need for this to be implemented into the game.

Well, since Towers are basically just outposts, I don't think they would make really good outfit bases. Perhaps something like that could be implemeneted in the future, but towers don't have enough depth to support an outfit.

I would use outposts the same way as Rest Stations on the highway.

A: Stop at it.
B: Go to the bathrooms and urinate. Do not forget to wash your hands!
C: Pick up food/drink/maps/tourist info.
D: Pick up guns and ammo *PlanetSide exclusive step*
E: Leave.

I just hope they make the Air Towers do something or other... like re-arm/repair aircraft Currently I guess they're just pretty!

And if an Outfit really wants a Base of Operations then they should figure out their needs and go take the Appropriate base/bases from the bad guys... And then hold them.

From what I've seen in other MMORP I'm sure at least one outfit will do something like that, have a "prestige base" that the other Empires, and outfits know is the one to try to take, and the one that will be hardest to do so.

Yea dave said himself that the air towers are underpowered right now. Hopefully they will change that
