1. She's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet online.
2. I'm gonna repeat the Style and Class...and the art skillz...
3. She lays her personality on the line, and it's easy to pick up just from reading one post. It all has the "here's me, if you don't like it STFU" feel to it.
4. Man, I really could post 20 of these but I'd feel like one of the stalker clan...

Actually we post about how hamma rules quite a bit on here. We just felt eMa has earned her place up there. As for this thread, it's just a thread of affection for eMa. She's an important part of this community and a great person. This thread wasn't started as an attempt to get in her pants it's just there to let her know that she's a friend to the community.
Now if you don't have something worth while to contribute to this thread post in a different one.

No. Maybe being a TR, I'm just pleading my innocence. The wormhole closed, and then they found the Vanu technology. The VS wanted to explore it, and the TR wanted to explore it more, as it's true powers/might/essence/whatever was unknown.
The TR was gong as far as executing scientists (supposedly :D) to keep it under wraps. The VS broke off, and started to use the technology. I'm not sure who started it, but they both wanted at each other, so I'd say this was mutual.
While they were fighting, the NC came out, and declared war on the TR, their "oppressors". They consider the Vanu to be freaks, so they also want to eradicate them. The vanu think the NC are reckless anarchists, so they don't trust them either. So I say it went
TR <---> VS (both declared war)
NC ----> TR
NC ----> VS
That's how I've interpreted everything though. Isn't this a thread about eMa though?

Generalization is stereotypical of what, people? Well I'm a person, so ok, I can handle being associated with people. And who ever said kids CAN'T contribute to a community? If it wasn't for kids, we wouldn't have adults, playgrounds, and "watch out kids playing" signs. Slack = loose. Jaw = part of their mouth. The way they seem to oggle over you, I've come to the conclusion that when they think about you their jaws tend to hit the floor, thus slack jawed, right?
As for your opinion, I never take offence to people's opinions. Someone's opinion isn't going to affect me (unless it's a bunch of bikers who have the opinion they want to kick my ass, but then I'm just going to see if I can still run like I did in Track :D)

You really didn't have to break things down for me... I understood what your comment meant thefirst time i read it.
But i don't think you fully understand what I said, so i will break it down for you.
I said: "generalization of any sort is just as stereotypical."
The words, "is just as" implies that by generalizing the people in this thread as slack jawed children, you probably do yourself more harm by exposing you stereotyping tendencies.
My main point was not to judge the other people in this forum.
Its just a place to kick back and relax, and we don't need people challenging our maturity and such whenever the thread is harmless.
If you find yourself tired of all of us, "slack-jawed" kids... then i strongly urge you to use the "ignore" button on each of us, but i have a feeling it would be your loss...

Calling us, many of whom are older and far more mature then you, slack jawed kids might just invoke a little anger in us. And we will have many love eMa threads. You dont have to come and post in them, and in fact I think most of us would be happier if you used your net time for your usually pass time of downloading poon on Kazaa instead of coming and bothering us here at PSU.
The way they seem to oggle over you, I've come to the conclusion that when they think about you their jaws tend to hit the floor, thus slack jawed, right?
Actually we just kinda drool most of the time, but we can do that if we so choose. Even the Gay guys do. It's our right to oggle over whom ever we wish to oggle over.
As for your opinion, I never take offence to people's opinions. Someone's opinion isn't going to affect me (unless it's a bunch of bikers who have the opinion they want to kick my ass, but then I'm just going to see if I can still run like I did in Track
Your opinion sucks. You have one and the right to express it, and I have the right to say your opinion, much like yourself, blows goats. I am glad that others opinions dont affect you, but I think I speak for everyone when I say I wish you would keep your opinions in your pants with your hands. And sorry to say, but most bikers are pretty fast, despite their bulk, I think they could run your cheeto munching arse down.
Here at PSU we have a tight little community of people, and we are very welcoming to new people, and accepting, heck some of the trolls, like MTX, are valued parts of the community. We all have much :love: for one another, and will share that lubbing with anyone who cares to have it (watch your pants around the M.W.L.A) We have lots of running jokes and things going here that new people dont understand at first. Some people, such as Hamma and the l33t whores and unregistered and afex are a wealth of info, willing to share if you ask them. And two others, Airlift and eMa, make great art. We all LOVE them. And we all really love eMa...cause shes cool and sexy. And if you have a girl that you think is cool and some immature ass (such as yourself SilentCacophony) makes fun of her we wish bad things upon them. I harbor little hate for anyone, but I, for one, Hope you get hit by a MAC Truck SilentCacophony.

Where does your logic come from? Does this stuff sounds make sense to you?
When you strereotype people you are prejudging them. You are not judged on your own merits or failings.
Your logic says that since you are a person, it is ok to stereotype you. Your statement clearly reads that you would prefer to be prejudged instead of judged on your own merits. This wasn't a very good attempt at trying to make stereotyping sound like a good thing.
*The second part is even better. Just because the insult you throw has an upside does not mean that it is not an instult. Retards can contribute to a community. How about I call you retarded and you take it as a compliment.

Lol, there's my original statement. I never said everyone here seemed to be following her like some slack jawed kid (although some did give me that impression). I said I see it everywhere, and seeing a post singling out a girl on a gaming forum, well it kind of does show a following, doesn't it? The fact that people got so incredibly offended by the comment makes me think they feel they DO fit into that category.
I must admit, I do enjoy all the hypocritical comments. People calling me prejudice, and claiming I stereotype people, and then they turn around and start stereotyping me and trying to insult me. People claim I have the right to my opinion, and then they just bash on me for having that opinion. I love how everyone keeps tossing the term Troll around. I'm no troll, but I AM starting to get a kick out of how much you guys get pissed off and throw it out there.

SilentC, did it ever occur to you that some of the people here actually know eMa?? Did you catch that she's a member of CDL?? Did you catch that much of the PSU staff is also CDL?? Did it ever occur to you that perhaps people here talk about eMa because they actually do know her and have for a long time?? Granted, this doesn't include everyone posting, but you really should think before you post. It should have occurred to you that the love threads are simply the PSU community's way of showing affection for their friends.
I must admit, I do enjoy all the hypocritical comments. People calling me prejudice, and claiming I stereotype people...If you point out examples of someone stereotyping, then it is not merely a claim and they are not being hypocritical by saying that you stereotyped them, since they can point to where you did in fact stereotype.

Yes I know she is a member of CDL. Yes I know you guys were/are a tribes clan. Yes I know some of you may know her from outside here. Yes I know a bunch of CDL are also the staff. Yes I know eMa is going to lead the air patrol (HA! you didn't even mention that) when PS comes out.
Like I said, I said I see people oggling after girls who play games everywhere I happen to see a girl in games. You wouldn't believe the attention the 2 that were in my SOCOM clan got, and it irritated me having people blab pointless crap on the mic to them in games and in forums. Was kind of relieved when I removed them from the clan, lol. For other reasons than that though, I'm not THAT shallow.
I can see YOU guys (Clan Draconus Lupus mostly (see, I even know what it stands for)), being all kind and nice or whatever. I don't see you doing things like that for other members, but whatever.
Ahhhh, now back to God.
"By simple logic, nothing should exsist. Think about that one for a while. NOTHING should exsist. period."
Hmmm, NOTHING. So what created God? Like I said, man created God. Man created God in HIS image, not the other way around. Man wrote the bible (which I see as complete fiction, well almost complete), not God. There were God's before him, and there will probably be God's after him. Who's to say the Christians got it right? Wouldn't it suck if you prayed to God everyday, fully believed in him, then you died and found yourself talking with Ganish (sp?) instead of standing at the pearly gates? Yeah, I didn't give you her life history. Don't have space and I'm sure she doesn't want her life posted here. We've all seen women hounded in game before (and on the internet in general for that matter), but that doesn't give you the right to come here and insult people. Especially on a thread meant to have a happy tone. If you want to whine about injustice and people ogling women, feel free to start your own thread.
Forgive me for saying so, but considering that you didn't even know who Dio was, you not seeing us doing things like this for other members doesn't terribly bother me since you obviously pay so much attention to the forums.
I didn't read the rest of your post. Quit trying to argue on this thread. (Vic, cut and paste his post to a new thread if you want to rip his statements apart please) I don't care if you don't want to talk about eMa (even though this thread is supposed to be about her), but at least keep on the general affection/kindness/love concept or so post elsewhere.

Also, the problem is not that you post. The problem is that you come here (especially in this thread) and act like you know how everyone acts and how people should behave while showing that you don't know anything about anyone here, even one of our most vocal members.
You shouldn't do A or B, you should simply post with some dignity and some respect for other people.

Silent,
Your unfounded elitist attitude, total lack of content in any and all posts, constant resolution to flaming, and intentional insults and abrassiveness have made you easily one of the biggest trolls PSU has seen. I have never seen one person who had the entire gamut of site personalities oppose them like you. You say you are posting your opinions, but you rarely do. Instead, you search for any and every oppurtunity to stir up trouble and tension. The eMa thread is proof of that. She has exhibited more talent in her artwork than you have in you entire contemptable PSU career. Not only is she a irreplaceable member of this community, she is a highly talented artist, poet, and computer whiz. She is a very kind and lovely person, who does not deserve you commenst or opinions. I'm sure you've heard the saying opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, but nobody wants to hear it. You display a terrible lack of judgement if you are truly that ignorant. I, however, do no believe you are. You are a troll. You have intentional, and malicious plans to disrupt the community and insult people for your own personal gain. You have yet to contribute to any arguement here, instead resulting to falsification of facts, lies, intentional deception, insults and mockery. If I were a fellow Canadian, I would be ashamed. If I were ABRAX I would be ashamed of you. It is a good thing that I hold Dio in such high esteem, rather I may be forced to prejudge your country by your personal idiocy. I, along with many others, eagerly await your banning. If you're here to flame and troll, then do so. Do it openly. I will meet you head on, and you will fall like all of the others.

Here's an example of a poem I do like. One by my Grandfather.
The Palamino
Some time ago, there lived a king,
Who ruled his land with brutal force;
And what he treasured most of all,
Was prince, - his palamino horse
But then, one dau, the horse fell ill,
No strength to run, nor yet to trot;
The king called in his stable hands,
And then to them, he bared his plot.
"I'll give to you three silver crowns;"
"Thats one to each." - they numbered thee;
"And when my horse be dead, or well,
Someone must bring the news to me.
"If someone comes, and brings the news,
My horse is healed, and well, and strong;
I'll give to him, more silver crowns,
As many as his arm is long."
"But, if, by chance, the horse should die,
Someone must bring the news to me;
And he who says the horse is dead,
I swear will hang from yonder tree."
The stable hands watched through the night,
But with the dawn, were filled with dread;
for when they went to check the horse,
Twas plain to see that Prince was dead.
They had agreed, the deal was made,
And by the rules they must abide;
But who was brave wnough to go,
And tell the king, his horse has died.
Then up stepped one, and said - "Fear not,"
"There is no need to frightened be;
But just go on about your work,
And leave this little task to me."
Then straightway went he to the kinf,
He feared no that his head he'd lose;
For in his mind, he had a plan,
And this is how he broke the news.
"My Lord," he said - "He does not move"
"He does not sleep, nor lie awake."
"He does not see, - he does not hear."
"He will not food nor water take."
The king then bellowed out in rage -
"And now, my man - I'll have your head!"
"For, if the wors you speak are true -
The horse must surely be dead!"
The hand then smiled and said - "My Lord,"
"The bargain was, as we all heard -
You'd hang the man who said he's dead;"
"Twas you, not I, that spoke the word."

I agree she's a talented computer whiz, from the looks of things she can do more than me. A talented artist? In what aspect? I saw she had some nice backgrounds too, if that's what you meant. I never said she wasn't a kind and lovely person. Matter of fact, I believe I never said anything to the contrary. I even said that she was a much bigger staple in your clan then my girls were in mine. I merely gave them as an example of the slack jawed people I always see following girls around in games. I never said YOU guys were like that, I merely asked why there seems to always be one. I doubt you can deny that eMa doesn't have her gaggle as well, not to mention countless guys who've said the typical "You're a girl?!?!?" or any other number of typical remarks.

Silent whats your point? I am not sure where you are trying to go with your posts.
The one thing I do get out of your posts is that you seem to hold some kind of contempt for people who vocally express their affection for ema, and at the same time you are throwing mini insults in her direction.
Now this is mere speculation, but;
It seems to me that you are not very good with women and compensate this failing by creating an imaginary moral high ground for yourself (this high ground is: not lowering yourself to showing affection for a girl on a message board). This is why you you show contempt for those who show affection to females on a message board.
In addition, you secretly desire eMa's attention. Since you do not recieve the type of attention from her that you want, you go into "sour grapes" mode and decide to vocally insult her artwork and poetry.
Now, thats just my take on your presence in this thread.

Lmao lex, now you're getting just like them. I never insulted her art. I said I hadn't seen any, unless they meant the computer art, like the wall papers she had. I thought those were actually good too. The only thing I said I disliked was her poetry, and I didn't even say I disliked that completely. I said I liked some of her ideas, I just didn't like the style it was written. If it makes you feel better, there is very little poetry that I DO like. Not once have I felt that I have insulted her.
As for the point of those other points, there wasn't much. Just pointing out the fact that Navaron is trying to insult me by calling me exactly what he is.
Fine, you're right lex. I secretly adore this woman I've never met or really talked to. I :love: eMa. Good, now we're back on topic and you can all stop crying.

I haven't once heard eMa say she was insulted, I've just heard you guys try to claim I've insulted her and flamed her and whatever other crap you've spewed. If SHE had told me she felt offended, then I would have apologized to her. You guys on the other hand.....

You still felt the need to public criticize her poetry. I don't recall her asking you what you thought of it.
Why did you feel the need to criticize it? The answer is that you were trying to support your argument that people should not be affectionate towards eMa, by saying that she is not praiseworthy. At the same time you had the added bonus of trying to lower eMa's status in the community.

this sure is a strange world we live in ;)
My response to it all is simple,
First, Smile all is right in the world :D People need to smile, there isnt enough of that. Consider this:
The greater majority of the people here, in the greater majority of the time are a wonderful group :) They show great respect to all those around them, and occasionally single one person out or another to give their affection to. This happens for many reasons, mostly just out of genuine gratitude for the time and effort given to the community in one way or another. I find this to be a very rewarding group of people to be around, and even the trolls liven things up from time to time.
Is life perfect, do we all agree, of course not, but when from time to time, you can start to convince yourself that life truly is good, now that my friends is a very rare thing indeed.
We are all here from different walks of life, from different parts of the world, from different beliefs, from with different ideals, with different hardships, and different experiences, pulled together in a close nit group by one of the smallest things in life. That is simply amazingly. To create bonds from abstract hopes and expectations, to grow to enjoy the time spent around the table just talking about something, and nothing. My friends, this is rare time we live in. When we are privileged to be able to cross the globe, blindly searching for comrades to walk with in the road of life. When we can look past race, ethnicity, ideology, and economic stance, and find not just a friend, but a community to be a part of, that revolves on dreams.
I for one am honored to be a part of it all. And I thank every one of you for creating a truly wonderful notch in this universe.
Thank you

Thank you Mr. Vulcan that was beautiful.
Silent, to tell you the truth... it was slightly insulting to me, as an individual, but more so as to how you are treating this community. So, if you ask if i took offense...then yes, i have.
But things are ok, and the world still turns, and i'm an easily forgiving person. I just ask you to do this... in your next of many posts here at PSU, please take the time and think if your posts can offend anyone... intentionally, or unintentionally.
Everyone here at PSU are working hard to preserve this community as one of the best. This is why we act out against things that can be found offensive. I've been here with PSU since we designed it from the ground up...and it is, without a doubt, one of the best gaming communities i have ever encountered. Thanks to the great individuals that come here and make the environment, and I hope that you will want to become one of these individuals.
Just, please, try to be more considerate and respectful to our members and staff here. We give up a large amount of our time to make this community happen for you, and i feel some degree of respect is earned from that.
So, maybe that is what this thread was about... not about how some of the male community oogles over girls, or about how my style of poetry strikes you, which does not offend me...but seemed irrelevant, and especially not about flaming.
So, I ask you, please let this thread die... or stay focused as to the topic of this thread.
I thank you.

Maybe the rest of us don't feel the need to say absolutely everything we feel on the forums, maybe the rest of us like to tell a person how we feel about something they have done just to that person instead of to the whole bloody community. I think it might be a hair late to try to squeak (sorry Squeeky) your way back into the good graces, so I'm going to give you a bit of free advice. I gave you your ticket out of BOHICA-Ville for a reason, I have yet to see something constructive from your posts. I do believe, however, in second chances and that you may indeed have something to give to this community instead of just sucking all of the time. Put some thought into your posts. Take time to figure out what exactly you want to say and exactly what you want people to think about you. A person's posts are a direct reflection on them as a person, whether you care what we think of you or not, we'd much rather see the decent, contributing side of your personality then the crap you're showing us so far. So, please take some time to rethink some things, and come back with some thoughtful, positive posts for us. Otherwise, sod off mate.
