what will ever stop an outfit from attacking a base? what will just deter them? people will keep attacking a base and will eventually get it and i dunno... what will keep a base from not being attacked at all? there are no automated defenses or anything so... i dunno =(

Theres lots of defence techniques that can be applied, but I think for the first while it will just be chaos, because everyone will be doin there own thing but when people start listening to commands and wanting to do the little things like gaurd watch and stuff it will get better:D

Someone might not attack if they are outnumbered 10 to 1. There are automated defenses I do believe. I'm not sure how good they are though.

Find AMS(s), blow em up, roll attackers on the base.

It will be the players' job to stop an enemy atack, not relieing on AI turrets. If you're worried about an atack on a base, get there and fight them yourself.
BTW:Might want to alter you sig Diluted, Sig NAZI comes by once a week.

oh crap its like 400x291 i better change that to 399 :D ill see when nazibot filters through. btw im trying to make some sense of my question.. its just like how will people lay off of bases? it feels like there will always be chaos because it seems like since there is no big penalty with dying, bases will be under constant assault. i guess i'll have to see how it plays out.

Yeah, I know what your saying. its like a neverending assault on a base. I dunno how it'll work out. I'm assuming since there is a wait time to respawn and the bases are so far apart, it will take a while to get back, and the assault team will eventually disapear (unless you have one of those mobile stations, then the base is screwe until they find it)

Diluted, where did you get the pics of the old punisher, the old one looks 200% better then the new one.
One and in response to the turret question, SJ said they can rip rip shit up, so they are pretty powerful another reason why blowing the generators with a stealth engineer will be important.

Backin up to em turrets. I dont think any are computer controlled, they're all man power.
which brings me to another question. And a enemy soldier get into one of your man turrets, even if he didn't hack into it?

turrets can be comp controlled when ya gets an AMP station. Also, does anyone have pictures of an NC soldier holding a Gauss? I have seen no pics of it except the main one.

o.o; Never thought about that. :/ Maybe it will be all chaos. I'd like to get in some major battles like..to really simulate a war though. Like The Battle of the Third Continent or something. @.@ I think if we just keep on assaulting it'll lose it's flavor, the game that is. :/

Whats going to keep an enemy from constantly attack your base... your bullets :D seriously tho, you'll need to cap the towers near you base and find his AMS so that assaulting your base again and again becomes to hard....

The distance between bases will keep assaults from being constant. If they have an ams nearby, you need to destroy that in order to end the assault, and you could always counter atack one of their bases, so they have to defend.

Actually I am pretty sure that the gun those guys have is the scrapped flamethrower.

Yes, the turrets can be automated if you have an AMP station, otherwise you have to hop on in.
If they have an AMS nearby, they'll keep spawning at that when they die (although there is still the respawn time limit). Take that out, and they'll have to respawn at whatever base they have closest, which could be across the continent.
Since you respawn in groups, you'll onluy be able to come back in groups. While you're trying to get back, your allies will be getting smoked, and they'll have to respawn way back and come in behind you. Meanwhile, since the guys you are attacking control the base you're trying to attack, they'll just be respawning right there.
To take over a base, I see some major surprise attacks under the cover of night or a storm. Personally I'm going to be setting up Pearl Harbours daily.
