Looking for a part...

I'm looking for this computer item. I need a cable/splitter that will take the input from one keyboard (also need one for mice) and spit it, sending the same input to two seperate computers. I've tried looking and have only found: a program that basically allows you to use two computers as one (Synergy), a switch that lets you switch between two computers as your main one, and a splitter that does the reverse of want I want (that is, it lets two keyboards/mice control one computer.) I've done SOME searching, but haven't had much luck. I think I just need to know what the thing is called, so if any of you with hardware expertise know what it is that will work for me, lemme know.

From what I understand the KVM switches only allow you to switch between computers, controlling only one at a time. I need one input for two computers simultaneously.

Also, the reason for this is for playing wow. I'm going to two-box a pair of mages or something. Being able to move them and make them cast at the same time means there's nothing I won't be able to solo.

Haha, that is so absurd yet funny. What happens if one of the mages gets knocked back or dies and the other doesn't? How do you get them back to the same spot? Furthermore, logging in would be tough, chatting would be silly, two characters saying the exact same things. Also, that would mean you need two subscriptions.

You need to take a break from WoW :lol: So not only do you have 2 computers that means you have 2 WoW subs - as mentioned above it wont really work for what you want to do anyway.

I've never seen a splitter that goes in that direction.

In eve I would run 3 accounts at the same time and do most of the high level stuff no prob, now I dont play eve. Follow the trend.

Is it really worth it to 'cheat' that way?

I mean, I know a lot of people that play WoW that have never 'boxed' characters that are now 70th level. How are you going to best know your class if you're constantly cheating?

Are you on a PvP server? Perhaps you need to roll on a PvE?

If you're having so many problems with the mage class, I think you may have chosen the wrong class to play.

I've played them all and I know what I'm good at. I'm either a great stealth backstabbing fiend to all mages/priests or I'm a good judgement dealing Pali. Either way I'm not about to bounce between 2 PCs.

Actually, I'll tell ya what. You take your two mages and I'll take my one Pali once we all hit 70. I guarantee I'm going to smoke both of your mages before you even cast one spell. And then you know what I'll do?

Log off and flame you on the WoW forums. You'll be so humiliated by being defeated by one Pali that you'll forever shun WoW. This will be a good thing, as then you'll have to deal with the outside world and (gasp!) REAL LIFE!

I've already leveled every class and know how to play. This is more for fun than anything else. There was a link around somewhere of an interview with this guy that would run 4 mages and a priest at the same time (not EXACTLY sure how he worked it out) and would completely oblitterate anyone in PvP. They weren't all off of one input, he controlled each of them seperately, however he had a pretty elaborate (and expensive) setup to make it much easier on him. He got all of his characters to Warlord PvP status in the old honor system.

BTW, 2 characters controlled seperately is extremely easy, especially if one is a melee class and the other is a priest.
