Wouldn't people just get the email file and save it and burn it to a CD for his friends? Shouldn't there be a way to stop that from happening...or is there?

Well, you would need to sign up to play, and non-beta winners wouldn't be able to do that. Also, that is illegal, and the person who sent it out would be facing some lawsuits

Yes they could if they wanted to but they would have to give their friends the user name and pass of their account, and they would be breaking rules of the NDA...

Im getting tired of people burining games its becoming to rampant , they need to make a special game drive using mini cd's like the game cube and not alow any companys to desighne writeable disks in that size .
The gaming industry is loosing to much money ,wich means crappier games and smaller budgets for teh good games ,etc etc etc

I know but the gamecube disk Is a different type of disk ,it looks like a cd but its not wich makes it impossible to burn . so they just need a special game format for PC's ;)
I hate to break it to you, but even this drastic measure wouldn't work.
People would just copy the installed game directory from their computer onto a CD, and design a crack. The only bonus this would have is that it would be easier to spot the illegal games.

Harsher punishments for offenders. With better tracking technology.

There are other methods to prevent you from even getting on the server.
Burned copy of an MMO game does no good without a server to play on.

I have mixed feelings on this issue. I will not buy a game without trying it first. So if a dev of a game doesn't make a demo, and none of my friends play that game, I'll steal it off line, or never play it.
But if all games were pay to play, I'd only be playing 1 game at a time. I just have better stuff to do with my money than play 3 games that are pay to play.

While you may be able to pass a copy of the beta and account password to friends (though if they don't track your IP address, I'd be amazed), why in the world would you want to?? Beta won't last very long and anytime your friends are logged in, you won't be able to.
I'd also bet that it sends up a flag if someone tries to log into an account that is already being used by a different IP.

Yes it is possible, but unless you want to get crusified, I would not suggest doing it.

People who get in Beta get a CD Key (or Beta Key, as it's not on a CD) in the e-mail. The CD Key is used to activate a Beta account. The Beta account is used to login to the Beta servers and play. Once the CD Key is used to make an account, it is registered as invalid henceforth.
So, to do the thinking for you, you can get the software, install it, rub your hands with glee at your cleverness in outsmarting people who do this stuff for a living, but you'll then be faced with the rather daunting task of getting yourself a CD Key, or stealing a valid user's account User Name and Password. In conclusion, you aren't warezing a damn thing. The only way you're going to play is if you scam someone who's in Beta, or get accepted in through the legal method.
